Castagne

nothing logical in football
But I have to say if anyone thinks Jose wants to start the season with Aurier as right back their on the class As
I think our issue remains that no own wants to pay any money for him
Strangely, I think Aurier leaving is more to do with the fact he wants a move (as he admitted last summer window), rather than the club or José wanting him out.

I think it’s because we as a club think he is a liability and also a pretty brick defender
The guy has so little positive characteristics as a defender. He can’t deal with pace, gets caught out of position even when in defence and is very rash in his challenges. Attack wise his crossing is inconsistent at best
He is our best right back though as we have no one else ... but no one in this league would want him IMO

Let’s be honest, you have no idea what the club think. You make it clear in most posts whether it’s in the Aurier thread or elsewhere how brick you think he is. But it doesn’t change the fact like Kandi said, there has been nothing to suggest we want to sell him. AC Milan came out and said they spoke to his agent a year ago, and some traditional flimsy paper speculation - beyond that, nothing. He has been constantly picked since arrival under two different managers, and we have had other options - we have even been happy to sell a perfectly serviceable RB this window. So let’s see what happens....

Thats why he started his post with 'I think' :D

I have no idea what the club think I agree
I do know he is awful and I don’t believe for One second that a manager who has won everything in the game won’t think the same
It’s basics in football and unfortunately he doesn’t do them well
If only the players who do them got half as much “credit” as this guy

Oh there’s no doubt that’s what Bedford thinks of the player, and that’s fair enough that’s his opinion. But there is zero to suggest that’s what the club think of him....
See above
It’s an opinion
This is a forum for opinions
I still say the hardest thing with Aurier is getting someone to pay money for a guy with a basic criminal record and an inability to do the basics of his job
We know Jose doesn’t suffer fools
Just to add to his wrap sheet... he trashed Jose’s trainers not realising they were his!! Kinda reminds me of Bentley and the water bucket which seemed ok at the time and Harry didn’t make an example of him until the time and chance came to get rid

Yes obviously you are entitled to your opinion - I pointed out you was passing your opinion as what you think the clubs is without any foundation. ‘I think it’s because we as a club think he is a liability and also a pretty brick defender’ That quite clearly is your opinion that you constantly mention - and that’s fine, it’s your opinion. But there is no evidence of the club thinking that for the reasons I said in my reply to your post. You’ve just acknowledged you have no idea what the club think so we basically agree. Will be interesting to see what happens in the next few weeks with the RB situation....

Being heavily linked to Leicester now - but to ‘replace Chilwell, and provide cover on the right’.

Thought that was interesting as we were being told ‘replace Aurier, and provide cover on the left’!

Not really surprising, as he plays both fullback positions
