Moussa Sissoko

Do the Sissokoistas think he can really step up now that he is freed from babysitting little Serge Aurier.
Did sissoko only become a regular first team player with aurier in the team? I seem to recall him playing before aurier. But perhaps I hallucinated that.

Just to belatedly try and support my argument that Sissoko hides when we're in possession - here's a couple of examples of the many I noticed on Saturday, within 5 minutes of each other:

Not doing this because I have a vendetta against the guy - just think that it's useful to try and provide some evidence when trying to argue a point of view.

TBF I agree with your principle but the second one was typical of Toby yesterday (it looks like him anyway) spanking a long ball

Maybe, guess it might be a bit of chicken or egg - is Toby spanking it because he has no other options, or is no one making an option because they know he's gonna spank it?!

Toby yesterday was awful and spanked it every time he could
But as I say, I agree with the principe of what your showing

If you were Toby would you see any point in passing it to Sissoko? One of three things is going to happen, he's 90% of the time going to pass it straight back to you, 8% going to fail to control the ball and the remaining 2% of the time he actually gets it under control and goes on a run. Those odds are brick so I can see why he just kicked it straight out of touch, it probably was ending up there anyway.

Toby did it frost half three times when he wasn’t on the pitch

Although I do think having midfielders who seem incapable of passing forward kind of forces our CBs try to hard with their passing.

Supposedly had a migraine week-end

Did his part today ..

I'm normally able to find positives in his performances, dynamism being the usual sign of him playing well.

But he was our worst player against Chelsea, did next to nothing right and offered very little energy. Only slightly worse than his buddy Ntumbelly.

NDombele was really good
sissoko was barely mentioned in the TV and not at all on the radio. When I got in to watch the second half I checked to see who was okaying and didn’t know he was
But he ho, we win

I'll give him credit where it's due as one of his most voracious critics, he finally had a bloody game game. Not good by his very very low standards but actually a good performance by anyone's standards.

I'd still sell asap but good work Moussa. [emoji1531]

I feel like we just need to keep moussa (and aurier) to help Ndombele settle in - clear that they are acting as the big brothers to him and helping him find his way in london. Loved that scene when it was the three of them chatting in the documentary.
