That kind of money can get two quality players in
It’s the balance of the squad that’s key and I’d argue there is now better value out there

Or he feels the 3rd choice role won’t get many minutes this year, and that would be a negative for the development of the young keepers.

He's not a great player. He's decent, hard working, powerful, good at defending and tracking back. Solid and unspectacular team player. Would not mind him at all.

Like for like filler for Vorm whose been perfectly adequate for that role.

If he's too replace Gazzaniga I'm less convinced, but let's see.

Frees up a spot in the squad for a player that isn't homegrown. Indirectly that allows us to improve in other positions.

Oh, I rate him! As I said, he's a good player, just not an exceptional player. He's a team player. Does what is required, but does not have any great strengths. Just all-round good.

Ah yeah I’d agree
But I think he is more in the higher end bracket as he does everything very well IMO
When they lost that semi last week he was bloody everywhere and stood out for me because of that
