One realistic signing

Up and comer, schooled in China.
Attacks hard and fast, pretty unpredictable.
A bit spikey.
Coaches are already working hard to find a way to stop him. At the moment standing off works pretty well so he can't see his pass.
It remains to be seen how he performs on a rainy night in Stoke.

An impressive xD of 0.01

Levy every day.

So mate, between Messi and Bale, you'd take Levy.

Man, it's a good thing Spurs fans weren't around when Christ fed the five thousand, because half of us would still take Levy over him.

And then probably argue that Jesus was doing a Leeds. :p

Most fans do not live in cloud cuckoo land like yourself mate and can see what a great job he has done, there is no chance we can get Bale or Messi but some fans think we may have a chance and that is down to were/what Levy has done and where he has taken us.

But Stop! Hammer time so please keep sticking those pins into your Levy voodoo doll.

'Most' fans? Disagree, mate. Majority of fans support the man, no arguing with that, but I think the people who see him for the cheapskate he is have also grown.

TFC's Levy In/Levy Out poll was exactly two thirds in, one third out.

So, maybe in a few years, eh? 25 years with one League Cup, 30 years with one League Cup...there will be a breaking point for tolerance of your golden idol eventually. ;)

But who is gonna buy the club now
Levy has made the club almost unsaleable due to the value it now has

I dunno, mate - depends on how much they sell it at. They could probably sell it at 500m to 750m and make a 20x - 30x profit on what they paid for it. Or they could value it at 1bn+ and have it sit there as their asset forever, because I agree no one is buying us for that. No one is even willing to sponsor the damn stadium for the 40m a year we're asking for.

You can disagree as much as you want mate ( that is your right) but you are wrong by a long way. Of course if you spend your life reading the idiots on T w a t ter, Face book etc i can see how that could influence certain people. :D

Well I can’t comment on the stadium sponsorship but I don’t think they should under value it
They want according to the the rumours I’ve read about £1.5B
For a club with a debt of half that
I’d true that’s mental and absurd
Pepe ally is value the club with the debt at £500m on the agreement g anyone buying cleared the debt (thereby making the club worth £1.25B), but that’s not going happen either
And enic have no money to plow into the club - we are ENICs only real investment
And joe Lewis isbg interested one bit. I’ll guess that his wealth isn’t very liquid either as he is an investor so he couldn’t just chuck money at the club either and why would he...
We’re actually never gonna change from the current scenario IMO and fans have to get used to that. We will spend what we make and be sensible

If we were to make one big, realistic, signing this summer, who would you want us to sign? I will add my ideal signing in a later post, interested to see which player/s the rest of you would pick.
I’d be keen to look at Ajer from Celtic.

Tall, athletic and plays in a couple of positions.

Chich recommends him too.

Those folks on Twitter and Facebook now outnumber our matchday fans by a large margin - club markets to them in the main, you know. The future is now, gramps. :p

In all seriousness, mate, I think you overrate support for Levy, you think I underrate it, and the point we agree on is that the majority (for now) support the bloke. Fair enough.

I agree
Although their not paying fans generally
I’d say the support for levy is 50/50 at best
But the support for Jose now has increased, especially after the better form post lockdown

You are probably right about the opinions of those on T W A T T ER and F acebook i would not really know as i do not use them ( i have little regard for idiots who use those forums which most of them are). But i know many fans who go and actually pay to watch games and they are generally in support of Levy and what he has done for our great club.

Hmm - agreed that most of our online supporters don't pay to attend games - one big reason being that most of them (well, us) tend to be from overseas and physically can't attend games.

However, wouldn't say they're not paying fans, per se. I'd wager many of us have One Hotspur memberships and buy a lot of Spurs merch, and a lot of us also show up at our official supporters' clubs. Not counting the obvious contributions through TV licenses, although that's aggregated, obviously.

The bunch of lovelies I heard on the walk to the Tube after the Chelsea game were actually moaning about that very thing - complaining about 'slopes' comin' over 'ere, buying our gear and saying the club had forgotten long-suffering c*nts like them. Racism aside, the truth is that's an income stream that will be larger than the matchday attendances in time, and so the club are naturally pivoting to them.

I'd definitely agree that support for Levy has decreased, and support for Mourinho has increased. I wish we had a more regularized way of knowing outside of forum polls.

Mmm. Agreed that matchday fans are probably more supportive of Levy - I wonder how much of that is down to being in the new stadium on a regular basis, design of which was 100% down to Levy?

I can see why you'd be more fond of the bloke if you visit the new gaff regularly - I've only been once, but it was an experience I won't forget as long as I live, even if we did lose pretty miserably. :p

cant excuse any racist pricks least of all spurs ones (celebrate the black players and Asian players then moan about their fans coming is just weird)

As i day I genuinely believe it’s a split in the fan base but currently it’s not that toxic like it can be

No, they don't. The moaning bastards there are a quite few. It's the same macarons again and again and again, but they create a lot of noise, so can appear to be a large quantity. But they're not.

You misunderstand me. I mean more of our fans are now online than not - many more follow us remotely than go to the games.

Within the online community, there is a greater proportion of people sick of Levy than there are in the matchday crowd, but it's difficult to say how big that group really is.

I think if we get Bale and Reguilon and we end up playing 3 at the back we are going to need another quality CB and a back up ST.

lloris - Hart
Doherty - Aurier?
Toby - Tanganga
Sanchez - Foyth
Dier - ???
Reguilon - Davies - Sess

Le Celso - Ndombele - Sissoko
Hojberg - Winks - Gedson

Bale - Lamela
Alli - Lucas
Son - Berjwin

Kane - ???

A striker and a CB would make this a very good transfer window and leaves Mourinho no excuses.
