Callum Wilson

Agent Defoe? (supposedly from instagram)

He seems (Wilson) a sensible option if he is ok with being a part of something bigger

He's never going to get a bigger offer, he's 28 (if we really are interested)

He might get more playing time at a lower level PL club, but this might be his offer, top level club, European football, Jose as manager.

He may need to do a PEH and tell his club, I just want to go to Spurs

There's a weird little Twitter video filmed yesterday of a guy and his son outside the Spurs training ground in their car, saying they've just seen Callum Wilson going in.

It is what it is, a bit random. I do remember years ago some lad bumped into Didier Zokora in the airport on his way to sign for Spurs. So I guess sometimes Joe Public really can see or hear something legit.

Would probably be more convincing if he actually filmed Callum Wilson going in.
That being said, I think he'd be a good signing.

I remember it! Lennon’s jet boots was the name of the person who posted the pics I think!

If that's "Tier 1" I'd hate to see what the others post.

Done and dusted, then.

Who can doubt the genuineness of this sort of reportage? Plug and play with his PL experience. With an obvious desire to stay in the Prem despite playing a back-up role, here's hoping we got him on good terms

On to the next one. Some sort of back four presence.

I’m sure Bournemouth have a limit to the players they are going to sell.

think we might need to get a shifty on if we want him

Fits a few needs:

Proper Kane back up
Prem experience
Cheapish
Homegrown
Can play from wide also

Agreed - if he's available for the reported £10m then it would be a great deal to do. We potentially have a lot of games this coming season, and Wilson would mean that Kane can be rested for all EL games til the group stages and give us decent cover.

Him and Hojbjerg will fill two obvious gaps in our squad and potentially both at very, very reasonable prices

Only 8 goals and 1 assist this season, that's not great. Bournemouth have been poor though.

Last season he got 14 and 9, that's rather good.

I agree he's a bit meh. But in terms of a backup striker for Kane I'm not sure we can expect much better. Particularly if we want someone with PL experience and someone that will be in our HG quota. He's also quite experienced while still having quite a few years left at his best.

I think we will be better off with him than without him. Having an actual backup for Kane and all that. Next season will (hopefully) be packed with fixtures.

Bournemouth was horrendous this season, so last season is probably a better reflection.

I think Jose is brutally pragmatic, add that to Levy's natural instincts and this might be a very different transfer window. We are filling holes, addressing HG quotas and balancing the squad more than a flashy name.

PEH for +3M, if we sell Foyth and buy Callum probably net 0, Aurier with replacement RB, probably same net 0, if rumour re Joe Hart is right, same.

Hopefully that means we still have something in the kitty for at least one "not so meh" buy.
