The Fight to Qualify for the European Conference League 2020/21

I'll be honest, I mainly do this so I've started a thread each year...

I'm hopeful Jose will dig deep and create a side that can win and sometimes entertain, and that other teams fall apart. I'd never hope for players to get injured from other teams, but if they do I won't cry.

COYS!!!!!

Just win, baby.

After all the dividend-free champagne football of the Posh era, it's time to buckle down, get a bit narsty, grind out results and take it like men.

The Mourinho Era may not be an Aesthete's Dream, but if it plants us back in the top four or wins us a decent bit of silverware, then it's all good. We can put it up with it for a while if it generates results.

Top 4. I'm already hopeful.
If Chelsea go into the season without improving their defensive personnel then I'll allow that hope to grow more.
Our attack is strong, I expect our defensive solidity to increase. Once we've had more squad additions I'd give a bit more detailed thought as to what could happen next season.

Best case scenario for the league I reckon is 4th or 5th if United and Chelsea have bad seasons.

I think that only City and Liverpool are clearly better than us. We should aim for third and hope one, or both, have bad seasons.

Anything less than top four is a failure. Mourinho has been brought in to get one last thing out of this group of players.

He's not going to build a new team, so he needs to qualify for the CL and win a cup in the next two years.

I am looking forward to the new season and i really believe that with Jose in charge we will actually do something that sport is all about, winning things. As for the Prem i think it will be hard to finish in the top four but we should aim to do it.

Forget Emirates Marketing Project and Liverpool....just keep in touch with Chelsea and Man Ure that’s all,the amount of games Chelsea lost last year,12,and they finished third, shows that standard is quite close amongst the top 8.
With two or three additions and the players getting used to what the manager wants,we be near the top than the middle this year.

Cannot say I'm looking forward to this season. The only two trophies worth aspiring to are both out of reach. The rest you can keep.

So my only hope is that the likes of Kane, Son and Lo Celso can find a way often enough to rise above the dreary dross a Mourinho team dishes out these days.
