Pierre-Emile Højbjerg

Le Tiss on Soccer Saturday,Sky says he won't be missed at Southampton, and he watches them a lot.....so not an exactly a good write up.

There must be a holding player out there that can actually shoot and score and knows where the goal is,because that's what we lack an actual midfield player that can score because at the moment we haven't got one.
Why would we want a holding player that knows where the goal is?.... The whole idea of a holding player is that he frees up the attacking players to attack as they will have confidence that if they lose the ball we actually have a player in the correct position to help stop the other team taking advantage of us committing men forward.

What is it I'm not seeing? I've watched both videos above and Hojbjerg does nothing that Winks, Sissoko or Shipp can't do. He seems to be a holding pass once type of player who just recycles the ball, we have the players who can already do that.
I watch those videos and think 'that is exactly what we do not have'. A player in the right position to win/pick up the ball and/or ensure that the opposition aren't in acres of space centrally running at our goal with an easy pass on for them between our centre halves and full backs. Winks can do the one pass bit but the positional sense is extremely poor, he really doesn't know when to sit, when to press, which run to cover and which player to back-up. Sissoko can make the tackles, can probably perform the dribbles but the passing alludes him. Skipp - he could be a great option and if so, fantastic, we can actually have two players for a position in the squad!

Soccer Saturday is just froth.
It’s just a football panel show, why anybody would let the hot air they come out with upset them I really don’t understand.
It’s just a bit of fun and NOT to be taken at all seriously.

Could not agree more, sadly they are some who do.

Not a fan of those videos - but I agree

look at him track back
Close down
Drop deep into the box to clear
Positioning
Drive forward with the ball

something sissoko/winks don’t do Fully.

Ha ha typical. Soton struggling against our packed defence, commentator says how comfortable we are... then right at the end "Mistake from Aurier...goal for Soton!". What a shock.
Even then, watch (I think it is) Winks.... decides to face up the player that Dele is getting to, instead of covering the runner in behind. That is where a proper, quality DM would make the right choice and probably leave us with a clean sheet.

PEH is Jose's #1 choice. The line I got was JM fully understands our financial position (knows what he can spend) and has cut his cloth accordingly as far as targets are concerned.

This means this window should be easier than when Poch was here, and Levy has little room to escape criticism should we not get a good chunk of what JM wants done.

I'm with my contact and his son all day today so might get a few bits as the day goes on. I'll try to post if I can(signal permitting) as we're out on the briney all day.

This bloke still making up stories?

Who's the other fantasist on there? Is it Hercules? Has anything he has said ever come true?

It always makes me laugh when a signing like Bergwijn happens with no pre knowledge at all from the 'ITKS'.

Not allowed to comment on certain deals in case the leak scuppers the deal, dontcha know...

PEH has now ‘liked’ 3 tweets linking him with Spurs! :D

That's all the ITK you need boys!

One year left on his contract, wants to come to us, in the midst of a financial downturn, and then the precedent of us transferring a better Dane for ~£15 million earlier this year.
Seems set up for us to get good value.
