Transfer thread

Looks like another John stones type signing
A lad who can pass and play but can’t defend
Would have thought pep would have realised that by now
Cheeky bid incoming for Foyth?
As much as I’ve always called him out as a fraud I have to give Pep some kudos here. He’s obviously aware that with City cheating the financial system they’d win everything match and draw more attention to their methods. This way every few games a defender will cost them points and it gives everyone else just that glimmer of hope that they can be beaten.
He’s bringing in his own version of FFP under the radar, just like the guy who designed the death star with a weakness...

I'm liking this. Apparently there's a clause worth £17.5 million from his Liverpool sale that is appearance based, but it's only Barca appearances that count. Having him see out his contract on loan somewhere else would be two birds with one stone.

I'd take him at Spurs on loan. We need more creativity around the box and he could effectively replace Eriksen's role. We can't afford to sign someone like him this summer but if loaning him patches us through for a year until we can sign someone permanently (and if we can afford this wages and loan fee!) I thnk its worth the punt

Double figures from attacking full backs or wing backs should be a fairly common occurrence then?

Nope. But it should be achievable for a player who spends so much time just outside the oppositions box in dangerous positions.

He got 5 in the league. If you’re happy with that then fine. I’d like more.

He was probably directly responsible for as many goals as he scored/provided this season?

i hate slagging our own players I really do, but Aurier gets so much slack by some, he could score a hat trick of own goals from pass backs and some would still blame Winks!

Probably better than anyone we have as well (Toby has gone downhill), worth it for a season or 2.
He's on more than 300k a week though. 18m€ a year, and that was numbers from 2018. I don't think Levy would be too happy about that!

Tottenham open talks with Inter over Tanguy Ndombele sale for reduced fee

Tottenham are in talks with Internazionale over a deal to sell Tanguy Ndombele for a reduced fee less than 13 months after he became the club’s record signing for £55m.

The France midfielder has endured a difficult first season in the Premier League since joining Spurs from Lyon in July last year and signing a six-year deal, having started only 12 Premier League games. But despite José Mourinho stating he was confident the 23-year-old “can turn it around” at the start of July, Inter have entered negotiations that could see Ndombele join Antonio Conte’s side.

Spurs have indicated they would accept €50m (£45m) for Ndombele – a figure that would represent a significant loss – although Inter are not believed to be willing to go that high. There is also a possibility of a swap deal involving the Slovakia defender Milan Skriniar, who Mourinho views as a replacement for Jan Vertonghen after the Belgium defender left Spurs at the end of his contract.

It is also understood Tottenham are monitoring Ivan Perisic, who has also been linked with a switch to Bayern Munich. They remain favourites but Mourinho is a big admirer of the Croatian having attempted to sign him at Manchester United.

Spurs are still in talks over a move for Southampton’s Pierre-Emile Højbjerg but have been told Roma have no intention of selling Nicolò Zaniolo.

Seems that most other media is going against this story saying that Spurs are not wanting to sell, we are not "in talks".

It's gone a bit quiet on the Kim Min-Jae front.
Seems such a good idea and reasonable transfer to make that I can't help but feel there's going to be something more coming out soon on this one.
