The Fight for Europa

It's a different competition to when we've previously won it. Multiple teams qualifying for the CL has completely devalued it.
The last picture has different context to the first two, different times and a time when the best of each nation went into European cup and the UEFA was hotly contested by Europe’s greats.

It’s a shower of a trophy now, too long and too many z list teams devaluing it
It is a shambles of a competition but the Europa Cup is still a far more prestigious trophy which would improve Spurs status globally much more than the (even more devalued) FA Cup or League Cup and (barring a miraculous transfer window) I doubt we’ll be anywhere near the 90+ points needed to win the Premier League trophy next season.

I'm happy to win anything but it's a tinpot competition

  • We haven't won a trophy for 12 years.
  • We haven't won the FA Cup in 29 years.
  • We haven't won't a trophy in Europe for 36 years.
  • We haven't won the league in 59 years.
  • We haven't won the Champions League/ European Cup once in our history.
Looking at the above I think we need to stop turning our nose at certain trophies and stop being the team happy to be snapped on the most glamorous red carpet with nothing in our hands.

If we people want us to win everything over the coming years, then we need to be in everything. Win them one by one, even the 'small' ones.

I do enjoy the fact that the man who left his family at home to go and live full time at our training ground during the pandemic, is classed as not working hard enough by Scara.

Again, another wonderful insight into life as an employee of Scara inc, and why there is probably no ‘manager of the month’ or ‘Times Best places to Work’ awards heading that way anytime during a certain persons tenure! :D:D:D

Been reading a book about Elon Musk. He fires people for bad grammar in emails. Also fired his long time, Pepper Potts like assistant who did everything for him including dealing with nannies for his kids because she took a holiday and he realised she was expendable, this was after more than 10 years of working for him IIRC. The funniest part was sending an email to everyone at Tesla telling them to stop using acronyms unless they were approved by him :)

Absolutely! We need to win something to try and start a winning mentality. I think this is what done for Poch in the end too long without anything to show for it doubt must surely start to creep into the dressing room.

At least if we end up having to do the qualifying rounds then they won’t be until we have already started the premier league season. They are also only one leg rather than two legs.

I think Musk is a crack head though.

Musk has gone right up in my estimation now.

Mine too, although his previous position was somewhere between that of the cat that keeps sitting on my bonnet and scratching my paintwork and my youngest at 5.30 am which he now believes is wake up time.

Those stories are like cryptic crossword clues - there's always a give away somewhere in the question.

Their use of the word "special" is what has convinced me.
Interesting angle.

Not sure Hotspur Way can be described as a “shagpad” though. Unless Daniel designed in some special entertainment rooms....

It also mentions neighbours being amused by the comings and goings. When we all know the Only accepted way to spy upon arrivals at HW is from the branch of an overlooking tree...

That and they've covered his extra curricular activities before. Popbitch likes a callback.

I thought the same when I first read it.
