Buy the dip.

Oh definitely. Just pointing out the acute timing for ShipOfGoldblum transpired to be a bit harsh on him......no-one likes a 4% market drop the day after.

Personally....im still sidelining.

lol I did the same (went in on Monday) now I'm well down - gutting. Gonna leave any new funds as cash in my stocks & shares ISA and wait a bit now I think.

Looks like we peaked at 6500....tried to push back thru the 6300ish level 3 times ...now a trend looks set, in line with general pessimism.

Tesla will be insignificant in a few years. The big boys are coming now with excellent electric cars. If Tesla doesn't expand their dealer and service network massively, and in record speed, they will be crushed. They've been caught up, and don't have anything that other cars don't have now. The "glamour" is quickly dissapearing.

Anyone who follows markets knows they're nonsensical at the best of times, but Tesla really mindblowing. I mean, they make a fraction of the cars of VAG and worth more? It's become a proper 'Millenial stock' effectively (was a smart move to do the stock split and take advantage).

It was clear the stock was due a fall, the S&P simply being the straw that broke the camels back, should never have hit those heights.

Battery day Sept 22nd, let's see if some of those potential rumours make it lively...

Their cars still look way better than most (the Jaguar does look nice) and have pretty good performance but more than anything they're now a premium brand and people will like the name and it will take a while for that to go away.

Their cars look like Nissans with big wheels on them.

Straight line acceleration is good (for a very limited amount of time), but handling isn't and the less said about the top speed, the better.

Still, American imbeciles love that kind of thing. Personally, I'd want a hell of a lot more for £107k

Could not agree more.
They look tacky to me. They are (IMO) clumsy cars. And yes, the imbecile ratio is growing. It doesn't help that I find Musk a repugnant public figure.

You guys seen any of the videos on YouTube? Some of the build quality on Tesla is laughable. Imagine spending £80k+ for a car and they haven't painted the inside door panels properly. That's what happens when you upscale too quickly to bang out car production way ahead than you can actually handle.

I toyed with going electric but will probably do it with the next car once BMW and Mercedes start dropping some serious options.

I'm amazed the makers of the videos haven't been sued out of existence. The fan boys will get all upset if people start talking honestly about Teslas.

I have to admit, I didn't notice any poor build quality in one, but I didn't like the pleather at all. At this end of the car market, I want to be surrounded by hand-stitched leather on every surface (except the ones made of walnut or similar).

It's also a bit of a design cop out using an iPad instead of designing an interior like other manufacturers do.

I quite like the big screens, but other than that and couple of other design features (hidden door handles) they are massively underwhelming design wise and even Nissan makes the GTR so shi ts over anything Tesla produces

So what's people's plan for the last couple of months of a mad 2020.

Europe heading for more lockdowns a chance to buy the dip again?

I use freetrade for my investing very happy with the service they provide. My crypto has done ok this year but seeing as it seems to be linked to the stock market and I expect that to crash now might be a good time to get out and buy in cheaper.

I thought crypto was the 'alternative' currency, and with intrinsic value of traditional currencies being made a mockery of, crypto would be worth holding? (ie not selling)
