Same question I posed to a similar sort of post yesterday - are these figures compiled in a way that makes this sort of comparison meaningful? I don't have a definitive answer, but my strong suspicion is no.

The FT stated a couple of weeks ago that either Italy or Spain (can't recall precisely) hadn't included care home deaths in their figures, to give just one example. I'm not aware of any significant revisions of the figures upwards by either of these countries, so I'm going to assume that particular issue remains unchanged.

You clearly have a point you want to make, and I would say don't let this stop you. But actually, unless you can answer 'yes' to the above question, it really should...

As sympathetic as I am to the plight in America I fail to see where in the guidelines it says you can travel several hours to flout the social distancing laws to protest. Health care workers had to isolate away from the children for months so they could treat sick and dying people, yet others are spraying graffiti all over the Cenotaph with impunity because of something that happened the other side of the planet? Not sure political protests are reason to potentially spread the virus and kill more people.

People are stupid for going to the beach in family groups and Cummings was despicable for taking his kids to his parents whilst having co-vid but its ok for thousands to congregate but because blacklivesmatter, the hypocrisy is startling

Your hero Boris made this an inevitability due to his pathetic snivelling subservience and docility towards Cummings. Forget 'lockdown' that bird is on holiday in the Algarve.

Sadly for us all, it's not.

Well its is

If you think Cummings was right or wrong like me or you, you still have a mind to understand what to do.

If you don't you would do it anyway like those who were going to the beach months ago.

Fact is people who go and graffiti monuments are not waiting for someone in government to set an example to give them justification.

You ever had kids?

Yeh I have a son.

Do you think the lad who is the Actor in Star Wars went to the protest because Cummings went to Durham or because he wanted? Fact is most people at the protest are there because they want to be, not because they saw an example set. The fact they attack monuments or things related to establishment shows they care little about the establishment

In a lot of cases they are complied from a different angle, most people know that but some just want to bitch and stamp their feet.

When “the establishments” give us fudgewit leaders like Trump and to a lesser extent BoJo, you can shove said ‘establishment‘ right up where the sun don’t shine. The establishment, please!

The establishment didn't give us them, we chose them.
We're the fudge wits, GHod help us.

“We're the fudge wits” If you want to own it I respect that!
Follow the money and that’s what leads to the choice of our leaders.
The funding of the political parties is what matter here and gives us our ‘leaders’.
Advertising and donations are what count!
