AVB

I think some like him because of how he talks rather than the actual results on the pitch. He could get relegated and people would still like him because he’s an intellectual. If he was half as good as some on here make out then he’d be managing at a more high profile club than Marseille, Shanghai and zenit.
Being intellectual means he at least has a chance of succeeding. Aside from him and Poch, we've been a bit short of them around here.

Yes but being an intellectual doesn’t automatically transfer to success on the pitch. I couldnt really care less what a manager says provided it isn’t slanderous towards our club, I care about results. He achieved par in his first season, no more. His second season can’t be judged as anything other than a failure.

Like I said before if he was half as good as some on here proclaimed him to be then he’d be managing at a higher profile job than Marseille or his previous two jobs.

It doesn't automatically lead to success, but it is a prerequisite nowadays.

That makes him one of only two Spurs managers in the modern game who even stood a chance of success.

Sold 90% of the squad that summer but he still kept the ppg above the previous seasons.
Could and should have encouraged VDV to stay.
I wouldn't have put it past Harry to have managed to persuade King to stay for another season on his "don't worry about training all, just let me know on Friday if you think you're alright to play at the weekend" deal.

VDV was done in my opinion, couldn’t play for more than an hour at a time

you know there's nothing going on when we getting all our previous manager's threads rebooted, AVB was a "confidence trick" pure and simple, ridiculously overhyped, young's when has never delivered anywhere he's been and good luck for him for earning millions while he was doing it, he could probably buy the Dakar rally with all his payoffs.

Porto fans would strongly disagree with that, probably Zenit fans too.

This, he has two league titles, one Europa Lge title and two cup wins. How many has Poch won? Before anyone gets their nickers in a twist i am not saying one is better then the other just showing what he has won.

Guess it comes down to win with who are in in what league
