This is going ahead as normal because the German Government has no powers to cancel public events in individual Bundesländer. Meanwhile the French government similar number of cases has the authority to cancel all 1000+ events in France.

Tottenham Hotspur V FKA Markranstädt

Expect Mourinho to try to keep things tight for 70 minutes. Then have a go in the last 20 minutes.

There is a chance this might be played behind closed doors now. Germany's Minister for Health has recommended a cancellation to any events with more than 1000 people attending.
There are people flying tonight so good luck with them cancelling that without a big lump of compensation

Their not talking cancelling the game... just no fans
The government have taken the decision too late

It would take emergency measures to do something like this and there would be zero chance of compensation. People might be covered by travel insurance but we could be getting into acts of GHod territory and anyone who has taken out a policy in the last month won't be covered.

Gonna struggle to argue force majeure with a virus IMO
Already had this come up with the UK government and it’s been thrown out

The government cancelling their attendance
It’s not like their given them any reasonable notice

No chance. The cost would be astronomical and, if it is cancelled, it would be for public health reasons. Any emergency measures would absolve the government of liability.

So 2 days notice is reasonable to a location with no direct travel ?
Don’t forget it’s only Tottenham fans they would compensate so 3000 odd at maybe £250 a pop
It’s their call so their fault
They had days before the game to call it
It’s what they did in Italy and there’s uproar

Of course it is reasonable if it is necessary to protect public health. There will be thousands of events affected, if they compensate Spurs fans, they have to compensate everyone. The cost would be astronomical.

They don’t have to compensate everyone
We’re the only team playing away there on Tuesday aren’t we?
Anyway their government have decided they can’t make the call and have pushed it down to a regional government knowing they can’t do anything he either

Leipzig is beautiful and interesting, even if the game is closed doors, if you've booked, go and explore, ride the tram and watch it in a bar off Market Place.
