Don’t blame the ref!
He is doing a job we are not, we are a disaster!
Glad we have 40 points!
Sorry Jose this is not going to work!

I actually think we’ve played okay. For the goal the midfield should be closer to Woods. Diers header wasn’t amazing either (and then he lets the ball bounce in the box in the next move).

Up front we need to pass better but Burnley keep things tight and leave us little space.

Skip and Ndombele have done okay for me.

We’re only one down.

But you will get in the way, defending him blindly even when he plays like turd. Just like he has for the last three seasons. He's a senior member of the squad. Why isn't he leading? Why does he bitch and moan instead of set the example? fudge him off ASAP.

Your observations lack any tangible frame of reference, perspective or common sense. I won't even bother with "context".

If you could present a reasonable series of examples then I'd discuss. But you can't. You just want to spacegoat him.

So yeah mate, go ahead and don't let me (or common sense discussion) stop you! :)

Looking forward to hearing the ridiculous explanation from Dermott Mcgallagher on why the goal is good, and why it was any different to, say, West hams vs Sheffield United, which was ruled out!

He's the biggest idiot of the bunch. How many passes has he failed to make?

He’s played players in who have just spazzed the ball

I’m on the fence with Alli, but I think it’s unfair to judge him till we have players back.

Our top 4 scores that worked well together in past 5 years are - no shock

Kane
Son
Alli
Christian

The strike force isn’t there

It doesn't matter who is missing you set the team up in a coherent way.
Playing against a narrow Burnley team he sets up with a really narrow 3 up front, 2 in central midfield (against 4 sometimes), 3 at the back. Meaning all the width and forward momentum has to come from the wing backs. But he then picks two centre backs as wing backs.
It's unbelievable. Literally playing into their hands. If you got Dyche to decide our tactics it wouldnt be far off this. There are three players on the bench who would make better wing backs.
THIS!

Think about it for 5 minutes Mr. Mourinho. Just think about what you have tried. It is a nonsense formation, designed to fail.

I'm actually glad this is MouMou because if some other manager like Ten Haag or whomever was getting us to play like this, he would be slaughtered. But people can see that the genius MouMou is setting us up to fail time and again. Five centre backs. A vacant midfield. No strikers and a VACANT midfield. That is some impressive tactical genius!

Agree

We're'trying to press a little higher and move the ball faster. Still look terrible at the back but we're a final ball away.

I normally only check in here at HT during games I’m not at. I’ve recently found myself following the match thread for the entire 90 minutes, while the game itself is just a frustrating thing going on in the background.

Says it all really.
I think you will find this is much more entertaining.

Mourinho has drained any and all confidence, belief and direction from the club, with no indication that it is temporary nor what it would take to turn it around. Only one conclusion for me.

Jose really deserves a summer but this could spiral out of control very quickly if we lose today and go out on Tuesday. He needs to get hold of the situation.

"Im happy with my players but they are tired" doesn't wash.

He’s surrounded by absolute idiots making the same run, not running failing to make a 5 yard pass to him.

Also he’s playing out of position.

Don't bother mate. At a certain point it becomes clear that people see what they want to see.

I think I'd almost rather sub him than burn him out on more of this brick, surrounded by some of the dimmest off the ball movers I have seen in years and ably supported by a midfield whose mobility makes Charlie Adam seem like Gerrard.

The only thing to hope for now is that the whole season is called off, to Scouse lamentation, and we have six months or so with the Euros cancelled to sort this team out. Actually, I’d be okay with Jose succumbing to the corona, or perhaps being eaten by a post-apocalyptic looter gang.

But it’s not important! We can’t blame the ref
