Harry Kane MBE

Any talk of selling Kane is mental
You can’t replace goals in teams easily
United sold Lukaku and need to buy a striker
Arsenal without Aubemeyang would be relegated (they have no one to pick up the slack in terms of goals)
Chelsea really struggle for goals and have 40% go through Abraham
You just don’t do it if you have any ambition
And the talk of him being injury prone is not true
He has had one muscular injury which is his current one. All his ankle injuries are contact injuries which every player would get in similar contact. It would be like saying son is injury prone now after someone stepped on his arm

One way of really stepping up transfers, is by selling Kane. Would allow us to buy at least 3 top class players.

Can we attrack them though.
Selling Harry, our best player be some way, smacks of a lack of ambition.
We don't pay top wages.
And how much would it cost to replace Harry?
It's back to the bale situation, selling one proven world class player and taking a punt on several others. And as our team still has quite a few from before bale or been here a few years and need moved on that's wholesale changes can we really take the risk of going through all that again?
Our record in recent years of buyi g players isn't great, even before the Poch 27, bale seven all the way back tbh from before I can remember.

Yep, this is pretty spot on and my view

I would add it’s partly down to the club he’s injury prone anyway.

I think we have one more season with him to get it right or he’s off

Trouble is we need more than one season to get (back to?) challenging for the top prizes

Well, we have managed to do better in the years after Bale than we did when he was here. Eventually, Kane will either leave, decline or retire, so we have to replace him at some point regardless. I think we should try to keep him for at least 1 year, and possibly raise his value again, because unless he has a storming finish to the season and/or a fantastic tournament this summer, I don't think we'd get a world record fee for him now.
Selling him is all about the question of "Can we make the team better without Kane?". If we could get 3 top class players in exchange for Kane, I think we could be better off.
Don't get me wrong, and I have to stress this, I DO NOT want him gone. But if the club have targets available that can make us better, we most certainly should. It will always be a gamble, but just to make up an example, If we could get Sancho, Werner and Gnabry by selling Kane, I think it would be worth the gamble.

Can’t really see clubs paying what we would want for Kane. Maybe United. Can see a Ledley type situation with him. He misses 40% of the season year on year now. So think he might have to stay.

Out of all out top players Kane is the one that I would not begrudge going.
Being ‘one of our own’ ld support him if he went to Spain or Germany for example, would be different if he stayed in England.

I also think he deserves it and if we get a few quid out of the deal then all the better.

Why makes you think he will miss chunks of the season?
If he keeps on getting tackles that damage his ankle then possibly, but that’s the same for every player

Just the fact he has for the last 3 or 4 seasons. I don’t think he’s just unlucky, his ankles are weak and that may lead to overcompensation injuries in other parts of his body.

HIs body is fine
It’s why he heals quickly and comes back quicker
The issue is he is a marked man and plays a physical role, hence why until now it’s always been impact and contact injuries

I'd like him to stay another season but would be fine letting him go abroad for 125-150m.

Irrespective of what Mou says, we need a rebuild of sorts with 5-6 first team spots up for grabs. Even with Champions League money that would be hard so a large sale would be needed.

I'm not happy about it, but I'm being realistic. Wolves and Leicester have shown there is value to be had out there.

We would sell Dele first IMO

Allow, yes. But we all know DL will hold some of that transfer fee back in the coffers.

Personally we got to keep him. If I could have Kane or, say, Lo Celso, Bergwijn and a half-baked striker like Callum Wilson (to use some rough equal values), I'd stick with Harry.

Yes, however there are no signs that anyone wants to sign Dele. He's also worth considerably less than Kane and probably doesn't want to go anywhere that would want him. Kane on the other hand would have many suitors, all capable of spending what we would want.

I would give kane another season to see if he can get to 20 league goals again, if not then let him go

Funny how Arsenal never had this talk about players leaving when they miss out on champions league.

But would he want to leave

It’s because arsenal fans and the club have only just caught the negative vibe
We have it as a disease
