Kyle Walker-Peters

He isn't, never was nor ever looked like it.

Fans have got tied up by the fact that he is one of our own and given time and space (as most decent PL players can) he has put in a few good crosses against lesser opponents. He's physically small (and isn't agressive to counter that), poor in the air (he gets badly exposed by crosses out wide in the air (something Aurier is much better at covering), neither brilliant going forward or defending.

He's a good lower level PL player that with game time and good coaching probably will have an ok career, not top 6 material and is just another good academy product we can sell for a few million (along with Carroll, Mason, Caulker, etc.).

Good luck to the kid

I reckon he's more of an Adam Smith type that can cut it in the prem for sure, just needs a solid loan. I don't believe that two EPL MOM games is a coincidence and he would benefit hugely from being a part of a solid defensive unit, like Crystal Palace however it looks like Southampton is more likely to happen...

Run of games would be massive and Walker-Peters isn't going to get them here.

My question would be. Do they have a regular right back and so will he play much.

My best mates are Saints fans. They say they have Cedric, but he'll either be leaving this week or in the summer (6 months left on contract). And they have Valery, but he's been out for a while with a mystery illness.

So hopefully KWP can start getting some gametime pretty quickly!

Reminds me of how pleased Naingollan was to score the equalizer on Sunday against Milan, who loaned him to Cagliari

Yep, will be interesting to see how he gets on. There's a chance that he might not recgonise a football or remember the rules given how little game time he's had at Spurs in recent years
Wife and kids away for a few days so I'm going to celebrate by, err, watching Southampton v Burnley.....
any online links ?

I did not see the game. How did he get on? I see he was substituted towards the end.

He was ok actually; not great not awful. He was taken off so that they could move to a back 3 when they were chasing the game, rather than because of how he was playing
