The Cricket Thread

Coming from Northern Ireland I've never really been into cricket, but I was in Melbourne over Christmas and went to the Boxing Day Test at the MCG. I might be a late convert! I had a thoroughly enjoyable day. What's not to like - sun, all day beer, great crowd and occasion. I appreciate that you Poms (I'm an Aussie convert :D) probably won't appreciate it, but Labuschagne and Smith were a joy to watch, even if New Zealand were a bit crap.

I also went to a Big Bash T20, again at the MCG - Melbourne Stars beat the Melbourne Renegades, more great fun in front of 55,500 spectators.

Definitely considering an England game in the summer.

England running away with this test series now

Broad/Wood getting us to 400 yesterday was massive

Wood then bowling so fast, one ball was 94.4mph

A behind the scene's docu-series about the Aussie team the last 2 years
It's made me realise just how hard on the players top test cricket is and also a lot of the Aussie players are actually not the helmets I thought they were
I really like Justin Langer too

March 2020 - Holiday in Sri Lanka. England on tour and playing 20mins from where we are staying. Plan to go one day. Coronavirus. Tour cancelled.

Cricket's a bad word in our house at the moment.
