Terry Jones :(

Sad.
And even sadder that it was dementia bringing down someone so talented - such a horrible disease.

I remember when I was doing my English Lit A-Level and I found a book in the library on The Knight's Tale by Terry Jones. He gave a totally different perspective to anything we'd been taught in school. I used some of it in my exam (with attribution of course). Up until that point I'd only known him from Monty Python.

A very talented and knowledgeable man.

So sad. :(

Michael Palin:

Terry was one of my closest, most valued friends. He was kind, generous, supportive and passionate about living life to the full. He was far more than one of the funniest writer performers of his generation, he was the complete Renaissance comedian - writer, director, presenter, historian, brilliant children's author, and the warmest, most wonderful company you could wish to have.
I feel very fortunate to have shared so much of my life with him and my heart goes out to Anna, Alison and all his family.

Late comer to Python but loved the films especially Life of Brian. Michael Palin is my favourite but they're all great comedy writers/actors and it's very sad how poor Terry Jones suffered with dementia these past few years. RIP Mrs. Cohen.
