Time to Quit

Am I the only person who is genuinely excited that we've attracted probably the biggest name in managing in the history of our club. A serial winner who has collected trophies at every club he's been at

And I remember the 90s/2000s where we certainly weren't playing attractively, it was barely even football

Yes, maybe the Jose of the mid noughties, not this one who ends up bitter and toxic and can argue leaves the club in no better position than when he started.

Look at his last 4 jobs. This is a great pension for him.

Youre kidding right? I just looked it up and in his last 4 jobs he's won the prem, 2 serie A, la liga, champions league, europa league, 2 league cups and more. He can win the prem and champions league with us and then get his hefty pension if that makes you happy? Come on, I get that he comes with baggage and his unique take on stuff but in order for us to take the next step and start winning trophies tell me who we should have got who would have been better

but apart from that, what have the Romans ever done for us?!!!!

Much like many who talk about quitting the booze with a pint in hand, or going cold turkey on drugs whilst chonging on a fatty, just do what you're talking about, rather than talking about it.

You've had some crackers on here but wishing that Spurs lose games cause you're not a fan of the manager is top of the pile!

Genuinely feel a ban is called for.

Yep progressively worse over time. He won the treble with Inter, league with Chelsea.

League cup and Europa with united.
Maybe we’ll win an fa cup.

He’s peaked, done his time. There is no way we’ll win either the CL or league.

Just seen £15m/year we’re paying him. Double Poch. Where did Levy find all this cash?
Didn’t want to pay Toby or Eriksen what they asked for.

I wouldn’t have sacked Poch - he deserved another transfer window at the very least.

I hope @Gutter Boy doesn't leave, he's not one of my favourite posters, I understand how he feels, it's not how I feel but I understand it.
Some of us had a lot of hopes for the future under poch and no one likes to see their hopes dashed.
Chin up GB, it's not all doom and gloom.

His success at utd in comparison to the resources is not really something to shout about.

He found it after we opened the stadium.

If they had taken the offers that were on the table two or three years ago, which were probably quite generous given our wage budget at the time, they could have had another significant increase now.

But in Mourinhos time the football world has changed.
Their are more mega clubs now than ever. Teams are brought not developed
Strangely though he won the CL at the least likeliest clubs of the ones he managed

I’ll also add that maybe the clubs left in a worse position as people say were actually just that... poor clubs. I mean he left Chelsea and they won the league with his team under Conte didn’t they... the same players that refused to play for him. United have got worse but also have shipped out some players who actually performed under Mou, and the new hVe a clown shoe in charge

Also, clubs may have dropped from their peak under Jose, but even when he leaves, they are in a better state than when he initially joined, mostly, United are a possible argument against this but it’s certainly true for Porto, Chelsea, Inter and Madrid.

Utd are the exception to the rule in most respects with Mourinho, otherwise his performance is remarkably consistent.

And while Im absolutely sure he could and should have done better, I think he was also in a rock/hard place situation having walked into a club with greater and systemic issues that he didnt expect.

Those clubs spent a lot money and usually on top players so I would hope they are in a good position.
Will we do the same?
