Christian Eriksen

Difficult to say that Eriksen changed the game - Villa began to tire and we were always going to have chances in the final 15 mins. But this is exactly why we cannot do without him (yet). He can help us play through bus-parking teams like no other.

If this man leaves, we are f*cked.

You hear me? If he leaves, we are turbo-mother-f*cking f*cked.

Keep him. If he wants to sod off on a free next season, so be it. But *keep* him.

Or we'll have pedestrian League Two crap like we saw for the first 45 aimless minutes.

It’s not difficult at all

We looked pretty clueless till he came on.

He added drive and composure in the ball

He starts every game till he leaves.

We created 31 chances today, Kane and Sissoko couldn't even hit the target when through on the keeper.
This wasn't down to Eriksen, this down to the change of formation.

Eriksen came on, Sissoko stopped playing at being a wide midfielder (which he was atrocious at) and went back to his best role in defensive midfield.

Eriksen gets the ball, one touch, out of his feet, sets up a chance.

Second time, get the ball, sashays past a hapless Villa midfielder and plays an incisive ball to KWP.

Third time, plays a beautiful long ball, again to KWP.

All in a couple of minutes.

And we scored three times, with him at the centre of the attacking midfield tormenting Villa every time.

He stays. Se queda. That's it.

Or we play turgid crap and lose half our games because no one can pass even a quarter as well as he can.

We had more than enough chances in that game berore he came on to win it.
Did he have direct involvement in any of the goals?
Did the other players all start playing better because he came on or because they played in their normal positions?

And I will say it again, I have no problem with Eriksen, I appreciate his talents and the job he does for us. But to be honest the almost cult like devotion building up around him on here I find hard to believe.

Without Eriksen we lack a play maker. Maybe Lo Celso can do that job - but I already know that Eriksen can.
Have both, works for City having more than one playmaker. Would love Eriksen to sign a new contract but if not keep him until he signs on a free for someone else... as long as it's abroad.

I’m always getting stuck into him (and everyone else, it must be said), so this will largely be seen as another attack, but today’s response is more narrative than numbers in my honest opinion, it was another 7/10 Eriksen performance, he’s capable of 11.

So if that was a 7/10

What was everyone else

KWP/NDombele aside?

Kane got 2 but was poor - but he’s in the side to score.
