Vincent Janssen

Rasiak probably. Soldado still showed flashes. Maybe we need to retire that damn shirt, it seems like it's cursed since Berba left it.

Anyways, good luck Vinnie. May you enjoy your Mexican adventure.

Bold choice for a European young man to take. I wish him success and restoration, it cannot have been a very easy or enjoyable time for him at Spurs, having come in with high hopes.

Now that he's gone, is he the worst number 9 we've had since squad numbers came in. Him, Rasiak or Soldado?

Rasiak is the worst of those by a wide margin. Soldado proved himself elsewhere and Vinny has talent. I’m still not sure if he has enough to make it in the PL (maybe at a smaller club as the main man). Rasiak, bless him, was utter turd. I hated seeing BMJ sacked but if Levy justified it by using the Rasiak singing, I could forgive the little bald genius for one of the most shameful episodes in his time at the club.

Wow, hardly tin pot.

Yeah, Monterrey is actually quite a decent city with two excellent clubs - Monterrey and UANL Tigres. Great atmosphere at both their grounds and a very good league to be playing in. We've seen plenty of top Mexican sides play Toronto FC in Concacaf Champions League and the quality of play is impressive. They can also be quite physical, too, so being a big fella like Janssen is won't hurt his chances of good playing time.

That's a better price than I imagined we'd get for him. Always figured he'd just evaporate off the books for nothing.

We got a £5m fee for his loan last season too, so we recouped a fair amount of money considering.

What about the outlay and his wages that were paid. I feel sorry for him but it just didn't work out under pochettino.

Fare thee well Jansen. I am a bit worried about your future seeing as it is Mexico. A bit disappointed that it didn't work out better than Spurs but I guess the stories about what happened will come out soon.

What transfer fee did we manage to squeeze out of Monterrey then? I couldn't see a figure in the previous couple of pages.

Getting rid of him for any fee is good business for us. Frees up wages, a squad space etc - interested to see who comes in now to replace him and llorente

Sounds like a perfect Kane-lite. Just what we need

I think he's the final piece in our jigsaw. I don't ever remember our squad feeling so complete

If you can leave a post in the N'Dombele thread saying you think he is absolute gash that'd be great.

I've only looked through the first few pages, was wondering if I had put my thoughts on here; you always want to be positive about signings from the off but I found it tough with this one.

The back up / competition to Kane has to be: Pacy / not so pacy but with a wealth of experience / someone brought through the academy. Not going to find another Kane on the cheap (as if that fee is considered cheap but hey ho) but we could find a different way of playing perhaps. Vincent and Kane playing together at the start of the season he came in was horrible, just horrible.

Seems like a nice bloke though and props to him for picking Mexico to rebuild his career.
