Cycling thread

I get he comes from the same country as you and all that but he should not be winning the sprint stage in Paris. This year the tour has been more like the vuelta and it is poorer for it.

Would loved to have seen Garcia against Kittel battling it out.

As much as I love him cav is finished on the road and should focus on the Tokyo Olympics.
That's like saying Germany should have won the World Cup. You have to be in it to win it. Kristoff isn't as fast as he was around 2012, so on an easy stage with a flat sprint there are 4-5 others that are quicker. But on stages that are harder or uphill sprints, he's one of the best. But yesterday he was the best of those actually still in the race, and deservedly won it.

I'd love to know what the Dutch TV film crew outside the blue lagoon chip shop interviewing the locals are thinking.
Talk about culture shock.
Cameraman is now filming the culinary delights on offer.

Ganna cycling for Italy in the track championships. Wow just wow, love pursuit cycling no wonder team sky went for this lad he looked different class.

Went to the world championships when it is was in London a few years ago and it was amazing.

A real shame, would have been great to see him knock the cannibal off that perch.

Reminiscent of Millar being dropped in 2014.

Cav is out of the Tour.

Dropped by his team.

Absolutely devastated for him, the greatest British sportsman of all time.

Won’t be the same race without him. I’m really sad about this. Felt he’s lost a bit of his fearlessness in the sprint over the last 18 months though.
