Ndombele

Jeez the anti Redknapp stuff does get boring on here:D That’s all that ever gets levelled at him is signing players from his mates, you need a bit more than that to accuse him of - no one is denying he’s done it on occasions, but people go on about it as if he has literally done it for every signing. If that was the case he’s an even better manager than I thought getting us to the CL and Portsmouth of all teams winning the FA Cup whilst just signing players from his contacts....
How many other signings have we like that under Levy? I wasn't actually insinuating a reason why, but others have. Regardless of the reasoning behind it those kinds of signings has Redknapp written all over it. For all the calls for Levy to back the manager he also gets stick for doing just that. Nelsen was alright by the way.

And before anyone asks, there have been a lot of claims that the period without signings had Pochettino's influence in it.

Yep - wasn't it him who allegedly gave him a racehorse?

In the final report of the Stevens inquiry, published in June 2007, the only criticism of Redknapp concerned his ownership of a racehorse named Double Fantasy thought to have been given to him by the agent Willie McKay, which has aroused some suspicion. Redknapp told the inquiry it was possible he did own the horse but insisted he had not made any money out of it because the horse was a failure and never won a race.[90]

Is it just a coincidence that the clarke deal has also not been announced when all is seemingly done?

Could there be something in this whole waiting till July to finalise transfers, maybe at our end or maybe beneficial to all parties.

If so what could that be?

@AjaxDeSuperYids According to another forum the Lyon accounts need to look good each year. They are in the black at the moment after they sold Mendy to Real and would like to start the next year (1st of July) in a really healthy position by then selling N'Dombele.

This could be wishful thinking, but there is so much out there suggesting that this is all but done that the accounting reason holds water.

I don't see how announcing it has any impact on the accounts. We could always delay the payments. Besides, don't accounts generally run from January to December? At least from the taxman's point of view.

Depends on the business

And you book the sale when you transfer the asset
