One of the ITKs said it’s happening today.
Then they all went mad for four hours.
Then he said it’s been delayed.
So they’ve all gone utterly bonkers over analysing every crumb of information and misinformation.
The Melt down is immense.

Yeah, no chance those were heavily influenced by who our managers were at those times.
I love Levy and know he’s the best man to run our club. But there is no chance in hell that Redknapp went to Levy and said ‘please get in Saha and Nelsen, they are the players I want for us to push for the title’. They were quite clearly stop gap signings because we didn’t have the finance to splash on big players. That’s not Levy’s fault at all, I’ve got no problem with us spending within our means back then otherwise we quite possibly wouldn’t have been able to grow organically the way we have now. But at the same time you can’t suggest it’s the managers fault, they quite obviously had to shop down the reduced aisle most of the time. We got by just fine anyway, and look where we are now so who cares....

Surely you're not suggesting they were over the hill players looking for a final payday, whose agents were taking a huge chunk and passing loads of it off to our manager at the time?
Yep, nothing to do with agents and kickbacks at all. Not one bit.

That’s all that ever gets levelled at him is signing players from his mates, you need a bit more than that to accuse him of - no one is denying he’s done it on occasions, but people go on about it as if he has literally done it for every signing. If that was the case he’s an even better manager than I thought getting us to the CL and Portsmouth of all teams winning the FA Cup whilst just signing players from his contacts....Jeez the anti Redknapp stuff does get boring on here
So why didn’t it happen with us then? Because we have a responsible chairman who knows what he’s doing. You can’t ever blame a manager for a clubs finances,unless they are the ones signing the cheques. I don’t doubt he’s done the odd dodgy deal, but you can’t literally accuse him of doing this for every signing. And in the case that was being spoken about when we was going well in the league he wanted one or two top players and was told we couldn’t sign them, so he then had to go for the bargain basement signings. The point wasn’t about the specific signing of Saha/Nelsen (who I accept should have been from Redknapps mates), the point was Levy not getting in a managers first choice targets so then had to buy a lower standard player....
