Ryan Sessegnon

Agreed. He also doesn’t have an expiring contract with a championship club.
I just meant they’ll no doubt try the ‘young home grown’ premium trick and alude to the similarity in position.

I read somewhere they have a 2 year extension clause.

Which would mean they are under no real pressure

£25m is excellent value for an 18 year old with two first team seasons under his belt who can cover three positions.

Although he really couldn’t play left back for us and I’m not sure what the other one is beside left wing?

I would agree with this, for his age and the amount of games he has already played in different positions and working with Poch he could be a star.

And playing with much better players in a stable club...

I honestly think people forget that playing with better players will make inferior players better

He had 3 managers last season, all completely different. He had a permanently rotating/chopped and changed side. No stability on or off the field.

In his debut Premiership season.

Where he himself actually performed well.

Does beg the question of what he could achieve at a stable club, in a stable team, with a manager who will develop him...

With so many stables isn't there a danger he may take up equestrian instead? Provided he doesn't live up to expectations and ends up being pony, of course.

I bet Poch has looked at his attributes and thought I can mould him into a top player - I have absolutely no doubt he would absolutely flourish in our environment....

3 assist and 1 goal as RW.

3 assists and 1 goal LW.

Obviously a big difference there.

Since March, when you claim "he looked good again" he played Left 5 times, right 5 times and managed a single assist.

Prior to that, when he was presumably ineffective, he played left 20 times, right 4 times (one of which for a single minute) and CF once. Managed 5 assists and 2 goals.

You are incorrect to suggest he struggled from LW in the first 6 months. Fulham were poor, he was not.

@r-u-s-x Turns out I dug up the same link as you!

Im dubious as to whether this kid is anything out of the ordinary tbh

On what basis? He was outstanding enough in the Championship to be seriously mentioned as wold card for England's WC squad.

He then played in a seriously poor side in the Premiership which went through 3 managers in under 6 months. Do you realistically expect an 18 year old rookie to shine in that team - irrespective of his ability?
