Saudi Sportswashing Machine

I don't like him, but I think he's a very good manager and it's a massive blow to Saudi Sportswashing Machine.

HUGE blow, I think he is top class personally, got them in this closed mentality despite what went on around them and got them drilled and in a focus, managers that can do that are worth their weight for me. Hard to explain but managers that can create a bubble on the team, Poch for example is great at it as was Fergi etc.

I dont think he is top class, but he is much much too good for Saudi Sportswashing Machine. Huge mistake on their part and I think they will be among the favourites to go down now.

Have a look at the squad:

Genuinely Lascelles is the only player I think would get poached from them if they went down. Its a midtable Championship squad all day long...

The devout Liverpool fans who run the shop at BBC Sport have decided to run a live updates service about this. I'll give them 10 minutes before they crowbar in Istanbul.
You do realise that the head of BBC sport is a big Spurs fan don't you..?

Ouch!
Lascelles
Dubravka
Almiron

Outside of that its pretty weak.
But Gayle will poach enough to just about keep them up I think.
It'll be interesting to see how the promoted teams do - they seem better than last year's bottom three.

Thats fair, Dubravka did look good. Almiron Im undecided on so far but he does have potential.

Gayle isnt good enough for the premier league, IMO. Poor sod is in that awkward position of being basically too good for the Championship but not good enough to step up.

For me the promoted teams are all 50/50 to stay up. They each have a way of playing that they know well, and can score goals on their day (Villa possibly the least settled/secure). However how any team handles the step is never assured.

Then Id say Brighton and Saudi Sportswashing Machine are in big trouble, and will be in the mix with those three. And thats before an unexpected team has a 'mare and drops in there too...

I would actually favour Saudi Sportswashing Machine to go down at this point. Even more so if they get Martinez.

Preparing for life in the Championship...

BREAKING NEWS

Steve Bruce is one of the names under consideration to take over at Saudi Sportswashing Machine.

He’s been backed in to 9/4 favourite with some major bookmakers overnight. Last night he was as big as 33/1.

Bruce is Saudi Sportswashing Machine-born, but of course previously managed rivals Sunderland.

Saudi Sportswashing Machine fly to China for the Asia Cup on Saturday and they are keen to replace Rafa Benitez before then.
