Victimpool FC - Klopp leaving, grown men crying

Plenty of well wishing from both sides on twitter.

Many compliments from our fans out there that the scousers were first class before and after the game.

Well done Liverpool.

Poch and Klopp are aligned on some of the building blocks they believe are necessary to make a team and club successful.

Our teams are on similar pathways, obviously they're just ahead of us on that path. BUT it looks like the right path.

Fair points all of them. The unfortunate thing though, is that Liverpool overtook us on the path, and now we have to play catch up. Hopefully this can be rectified, to some extent at least, with a summer of actual rest for the team and some reinforcements brought in as well.

They overtook us in terms of league positions but had the resources/clout in position long before us.

Obviously helped by an incoming £130m as opposed to an £850m outgoing.

Edit: oh and let's not underestimate that actually being ON the right path is a great thing.

I will give credit where it's due, Liverpool are a very good team. They got nowhere near top gear against us (some of that was our doing, we were pretty good in possession) but they still won and kept us at bay fairly comfortably in the end. Klopp has adapted their game this season to make them more solid (along with signing the right players). He's done an amazing job with them.

And now they have 6 European Cups, which is as impressive as phuck.

Yeah I hate them but they are very very impressive. They bought so well last year. Bought quality in the positions they were weak. Klopps done a phenomenal job and, with this as a springboard, I think they’ll be right up there for a while.

We now need to brick or get off the pot by backing our manager the way they backed Klopp.

City are still the best team but wouldn’t be surprised if Liverpool run them close again next season.

I’d be happy if we get 80+ points, get back in the top 3 and hopefully win a trophy. Probably looking at least 95 points again to win the title.

There must be some petitions in play.

P.S. I think there is a case for Virgil van Dijk and the Ballon d'Or. Liverpool's defence since his signing is a completely different beast. He's had help from the new unconcussed GK and the development of their fullbacks, but its unquestionable that he has made a difference.

Don't know why but I dislike VVD even if I can admit how good he is. Would rather see Allison get the BdO given he also won the Copa America. Can't even remember what happened in the Euro Nations final thing.
