Mauricio Pochettino - Sacked

PATHETIC to see Poch being slated here. Sadly I am not surprised. Predictable. And again, pathetic.

Poch knew it’d happen though because so much opinion and analysis is outcome based. The man made logical decisions based on the information he had to hand before the game. It maybe proved to be wrong but if people can’t see why he made the decisions he made, you’re being willfully ignorant.

He could have dropped Alli and Kane based on their performances. For who though? Moura definitely. Lamela? Llorente? Imagine the outrage if that happened.

He could have dropped Sissoko based on the fact he gave away a pen after 30 seconds for being a bit naive and stupid. But he’s been our best player this season (or one of them) and played pretty well otherwise last night.

He picked a team that was our best eleven, all things being equal, and we could have gotten a results but for a bit of bad fortune. That happens.

The man got us top 4 and to a CL final without spending a bean. He still deserves a statue in my book and he will lead us to glory if we are fortunate enough to keep him.

It's all a bit David Brent for my liking.

Players often talk about boredom when they are away together for a prolonged period. No football for three weeks and out in Spain for the last week, I can see why he wanted to do something different. I suspect that it's not the kind of thing that you can repeat and I doubt that he will.

If I were a player and I had to wait 3 weeks for a game and my manager decided to use my time doing that instead of seeing my family/doing something productive with that time I'd lose all respect for him and probably resent him for it.

Having a laugh with your mates is an important part of team building. A player who didn't buy into that would've been out the door with Adebayor in his first season.

The team's already built. What it isn't (still) is capable of holding onto the ball in midfield or breaking the press.

Important now that Poch come out and clears up the he staying or going rubbish in the press.

He needs to commit and start to freshen up this squad ready to go next season.

As apparently tied as you are to cold, logical reason, I'm surprised that this is the conclusion you would come to.
I genuinely don't know how people could live any other way. Do people really go about their lives feeling that others are better than them?

I just assumed it was like driving where everyone assumes they're the best.

That’s the point. That’s why firewalking is counterproductive.

To the best of my knowledge, he's done it twice in his career, once at Southampton and this last week. I'm sure that it is done partly to keep things fresh. I have no problem with this kind of thing occasionally and the problems yesterday what not caused by a lack of training.

The problem with team building is that your work colleagues in general are not your real friends, I don’t really think it changes for footballers they still go home to their family and mates, it’s all well and good doing that nonsense but after work I still want to go home to my family and go to the match or go for a drink with my mates, if I change jobs I would in all honestly probably never speak to 95% of them again

No, the superiority is just there, like gravity
That’s not superiority. That’s insecurity my friend. For example, HootNow tends to school you a fair bit on this forum, but has never shown superiority around it. Like some posters on here ;)
