Matthijs De Ligt

SSN saying UTD have ruled out a move for De Ligt. That either means they are close or they have been turned down and don't want to their fans to know that the player has no interest in them.

Was Llorente giving Ajax a huge problem down to Blind, or was De Ligt also to blame? It'd be a concern imo, plenty of teams in England have a big forward and most Premier League teams aren't too proud to hit long balls if there is a weakness in the opposition.

I think De Ligt will become world class but right now he is a solid stopper but needs to learn a lot for the price tag... what he does it put his body on the line which is great but in both games he has struggled with a player who was as big and as strong as him

It was Blind that Llorente sat on top of

We thought Sanchez was a beast when he arrived. Then got shown a few times the prem has it's fair share of forwards that can bully you.

That’s my thoughts too

Not saying De Ligt isn’t good but his hype so far form the two games I’ve seen live isn’t warranted IMO

But that’s the way the games gone

Potential has as much a premium as proven experience now, especially with the fear of missing out

Yep I would rather we wait a little on him, I liked what I saw with De Jong straight away because that sort of passing and vision you know will always take you places.

I was more impressed with de ligt than de Jong over the two games. De Jong went missing.

An age thing, much like Sessegnon your buying the potential. Sure Barca spent a lot on him but it is just inflation.

If Leeds want 20m for Clarke at 18 who has never played top flight football then it is roughly the going price.
