We're the Famous Tottenham Hotspur and we're going to Madrid (Travel Thread)

Trip to Spain booked from 30th May until 4th June, going to Salou with wife and 2 year old, will then take a train to Madrid on the morning of the final and then heading back the day after. Package holiday cost just under £900 for the 3 of us, trains coming in at about £150 and then still need to sort out somewhere to stay in Madrid for the night.

I'm very impressed with those of you who have made all these expensive travel arrangements to/from Madrid, but are yet to nail down exactly where you're laying your nut for the night!!

Ok, so I get that if we win it's an all-nighter and grab early trains Sun morning. But if it doesn't go our way, I would def not want to be walking the streets of Madrid at 4am hearing the echos of fecking scousers ringing around the distant streets.

There are a few more hotels in the centre starting to show up at around £370-£450 per night. Still expensive but there are some signs of prices being lowered below the £500+ mark.

Not enough :(

Unless you know a way to jump the queue;)

I'm not booking any travel arrangements without a ticket (it's looking like big screens at WHL for me tbh). But Faro was an option considered, long drive but worth every minute/penny. Otherwise LBA>CIA>MAD and return.

Plan's in place, missing element is the ticket
I’m in the third wave... so we will be looking at the expensive tickets

I reckon it will drop in points though

Be interesting to see how many planes their laying on
I reckon they will have about 4000 apply for flights which is 8 planes

Depends also on whether they were ahead of the game and have the slots in place.
I've got my Sport Options flight confirmed from Stansted but whilst Sport Options now have more aircraft available they are struggling to get the extra slots at the main London airports and may have to fly from East Midlands.
