Harry Winks

Definitely a recurring theme under Spurs/Poch's sports scientists;

Try to play through the pain, rest up for a while, rehab, try to play again and breakdown, try to get fit, fanny about for weeks, eventually go under the knife.

They always try to avoid surgery as it is the most severe solution, but seems we often end up there anyway.

Get well soon Winksy, in 3 years you could be the best midfielder in the Prem or drinking Buckfast in a skip with Troy Archibald Henville, Steven Caulker and David Bentley
Thing is you don't get to hear about the ones where we did hold off on surgery and then were ok.

Anyone know how the little guy's getting on?

I'm not sure about starting the CL final with two Harrys just returning from injury, but it'd be great to start with Winkssoko in midfield and Kane on the bench.

Very much doubt we’ll see him involved in the final. Kane will play his part for sure, but Winks won't play again until next season IMO.

Winks is probably working towards the England game.
Highly unlikely he’ll start for England in the summer, probably 50/50 for getting in the squad even. Rice, Henderson and Barkley are flavor of the month there (even if we know that Winks is a different league to those 3).

2.5 weeks until the big match, is it realistic he can play a part? Was surprised to hear he’s already doing on field fitness work. I think an 80/90% fit Winks would make a massive difference in the final, even just for 60 minutes.

Apparently he will be fit for the final, so he could play for England.

Though I hope you are right in that other players will get the call and he is left out.

The lad really needs the full summer off to get himself recovered, fit and in the right shape for next season.

Not sure Winks is enough of a fixture in the England squad yet to be called up as an absolute (in the way you know Kane will always be, even if he isn't 100% fit).

However, it would be huge for us to have him for the CL final if he can make it. Even as a bench option.

I'd definitely have him on the bench if available, Winks, Lamela and Kane is a strong bench and gives us good options.

Guardian article claims Winks, Kane & Jan will be fit for final
That will be huge if true. If we can get them all back I believe we can go toe to toe with Liverpool. Our Defensive midfield options, Sissoko aside, have been so poor this season with Winks being injured and Wanyama and Dier off form. It is one of the key reasons that we have lost so many more games than in previous Poch seasons imho. This area will be key for us in the final.

Wouldn't expect too much of any player coming back from injury, especially first game after several weeks' lay-off.
