Despite being designated as the 'home' team, UEFA have decided that the home dressing room (better facilities) should be awarded to Liverpool. The reasoning :

"We took into account the number of fans of both of the finalists, the metro lines and the fan meeting points in the city.
"Taking into account all these issues, the final decision was that Liverpool fans should arrive at the south stand and they will have all their tickets in the south stand.
"On the other hand, Tottenham supporters will arrive at the north stand and they will have all their tickets in the north stand.
Unsurprisingly, the home dressing room in the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium is considerably bigger and more luxurious than the one that the visiting teams have to deal with so Spurs and Mauricio Pochettino will certainly be out of their comfort zone on June.

Not saying it will make any difference but why would the direction fans arrive from and where they are in the stadium make any difference? It's not as if the benches are located in front of the away supporters' stands.
And erm - won't we both have the same amount of fans in the ground (officially)?

You have to say; the difference is noticeable

Probably I’ll get grief from the PC phalanx, but I wonder how much impact Ramadan may have on some of their players? I believe LFC have four practising fasters, and not eating in daylight hours for three weeks may have an impact on energy levels. We have one (Moose) who doesn’t fast

I think that it's a big risk including three players who haven't played for months. I am not sure what the answer is because that is our strongest 11 but I think that might be too many players short of match sharpness to carry.

Yes, I agree - we had a similar discussion in a different thread just now, but it belongs here. The more I think of it, we might be better off with Kane on the bench, as an impact player rather than an undroppable starter. That means Son, Moura, Alli and Eriksen as the four in attack. That makes sense against Van Dijk and Matip. I think a lot of the conversation on the final from our perspective is inevitably going to focus on Kane.

Because playing Wanyama and Dier (as others point out) may be unwise, Poch might depend on Winks after all. And if he plays, I would consider not playing Kane - one player without rhythm is tricky enough.

Airier would be the lowest in the pecking order for me. Trippier has had a poor season but Aurier has a tendency to switch off, so I don't see much of an improvement there. Winks offers something that none of our other midfielders do but I could see us starting with either Dier or Wanyama alongside Sissoko. I think that Kane has to start if fit, he can be slow to regain form after injuries but he scores goals even when off form and will create space for the others.

The mods are really playing with the OMT gods by not stickying this yet.

The game is so far away that any sort of match fitness goes completely out the window

-----------------Lloris
Aurier Alderweireld Vertongen Rose
------------Sissoko Winks
--------Eriksen Alli Son
----------------Kane

No place for Lucas.
The formation can be changed to 433 or 41212 if needed without changing the team.

Reckon there will be any kind of behind closed doors friendlies taking place ahead of the final?

I think if Winks is fit he will play. Our last good performance (bar Ajax) was city at home.
Kane also has to start if fit.
Just don’t see who gets left out
Moura, Son, Alli??

But drop him to start with, imo.

That's proper crappy. Not far off Champo standard, that.

UEFA stitch-up, what else is new. Hope Poch kicks up a fuss about it - build up a real underdog mentality, the world is against us, so go out and f*ck the world.
