We're the Famous Tottenham Hotspur and we're going to Madrid (Travel Thread)

Yup we just went for that, now we wait for Spurs to actually try sort a ticket.
How does this work, you book it in lieu of getting a ticket and if you don’t get one you lose the money? I thought as you needed a ticket to secure it you couldn’t book yet?

I’ll throw it in the mix
I booked up 2 twin rooms last night for some mates (I had mine booked already) and 3 have pulled out (2 haven’t even apologised)
It works out £400 a bed for 3 nights (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)

If anyone needs accommodation in madrid let me know

It’s south of Madrid centre in an area called Parla

You can still get rooms there but their about a grand now

And we’re flying out on jet 2 to Faro and driving

Thinking about campervanning from London on the Friday and back on Tuesday. Works out a lot cheaper all round.

No, you book now but no money is taken until the club work out the allocation, LPs etc. If you don't meet the LP cut-off then your application is rejected, no money taken.

My pals have booked up the Sport Options 2 night stay, flight only for £685
They are staying in Toledo which is a train ride away, accomodation wasn't too bad between the 6 of them

What time do you think the return flights will be for the below?

It says 1st June so must be on the Saturday but its 9pm kick off there so can't be right?

Screenshot_20190510_105643_com.android.chrome.jpg also presume it says from 559 as it will depend on the availability of the cheapest match tickets?

If I can get the time off I'll try that mate but don't let it stop you from getting offers. I won't really know about days off until around 20th May when my new boss returns from business trip. Looks likely I'm going to apply for the Thomas Cook thing first though.

With the Thomas Cook trip,if you don't meet the membership points threshold you don't get a ticket then? Was going to book this and cancel my airline tickets i had already got???

Got membership points but won't meet the target needed....

Yes if you don't get a ticket you wont get charged for your booking

I'd think we will leave at 8am on the Saturday, and come home maybe 1am or 2am arriving into Stansted at 3ish

Taken from the Sport Option website :
our return flight will depart Madrid at 05:00 and return back into Stansted at 06:30

(Please note the late Madrid departure is due to London airport flying restrictions as we cannot land back until after 6 a.m. they may change this due to exceptional circumstances of this final. In any event this late departure may not be so bad as should there be extra time, penalties, trophy etc it would be past midnight before leaving the stadium. If restrictions are lifted we would hope to return earlier).

Worth taking a look at - currently sold out but it sounds like they are looking to put on more availability - and unlike Thomas Cook this is not linked to having a ticket.

Apparently because of the Boeing Max issues there is a shortage of planes, so laying on extra ones is complicated (although I thought money would talk in this instance?)

Thanks. This might be best for me as a hedge against the increasing prices before I know if I can get a ticket
