Davinson Sanchez

He's 22 for fudges sake. He's already a Rolls Royce. Imagine what he'll be like an another two or three years.

Exceptional talent with unlimited potential. One of our best signings in recent memory, for the intent alone.

My thoughts as well, 22 years of age and he has the ability to be a world class player as he matures.

I'm still not convinced with this guy, he is so up and down. He had a good World Cup but has not been great this season. At the moment he is making one or two brutal errors every game and it undermines the whole defence. He spreads panic.

Totally agree.

Sometimes he seems like the heir to Ledley King; other times he looks like the heir to Anthony Gardner.

I really dread the thought of Toby and him being a regular next season.

There is a huge gulf in class between those 2.

He needs to be dropped asap. Toby should play regardless of who he wants to sign for next season. Makes too many errors right now, he seems to have periods in games where he is all over the place. We can't afford him to be learning on the job with only 8 games to go, our defence is phucking up our season and he is a big part of the problem right now.

He's played most of his football in leagues where forwards don't crash into you or chase lost causes and it's taking him time to adjust, he has all the qualities to be a good defender and I expect him to get more consistent, playing regularly in a settled side would help. I understand the need to rota players but feel we have had to do this too much this season and it has effected our play.

Don't mean to be a dingdong, but seems people have forgotten how very few CBs manage consistency in their early 20's. Just unrealistic expectations
The likes of Rio made plenty of mistakes at his age. Ive no doubt by the time him and Foyth are in their mid-twenties they will be oozing class and be absolute rocks for us - all part of the learning curve....

If Manchester's or Liverpool's player put a performance like his performance this season, we would be laughing. That's how I see him this season. Very poor, Foyth is already better. I hope Poch can do his magic with him next season.

He did seem more composed then he has been is some recent matches, Poch working his magic in training?. I still think/believe there is a very good player in him.

Second season syndrome, IMO.

I think he is a quality player now, and has the tools to be an incredible player. Im a big fan of his.

Last season he played far more than expected and was by and large excellent. This season, second season, its often a tricky one and so it seems to be proving with him.

I dont think he has actually been THAT bad, seems to me his performances are being rated overly negative, but I suppose at this stage in the season it doesnt matter.

Im looking forward to next year, hopefully its when he finds his groove and really steps on...

If he cost 8m people would be well behind him. As soon as you spend what we spent on him, people want instant results. It doesnt work like that. He's one of the best young talents around. I don't think its helped being in and out this season with different full backs etc. I think he'll go on to be a star.

Ps. As you say, his performances haven't been THAT bad at all. People just want to pull him apart for the odd error - that works back to the fee thing.

I think that's fair, and hope its the case.

Going into this season I felt our CB set had to include him due to his pace and dominance in the air, but neither have particularly stood out.
