The game is tomorrow so I thought I should start the match thread - especially as I am going to my first game at the new stadium..

Not too easy to pick a team as injuries and possible tiredness after a busy schedule have taken their toll.

Gazzaniga

Trippier Foyth Sanchez Davies

Dier

Moura Dele Eriksen Son

Llorente..

I should imagine Brighton will try and defend deep which is why I went for llorente..

Need a couple of early goals so we can secure the game without using too much mental and physical energy... The West Ham 'cup final' on Saturday should be a much tougher game...

COYS.

We only have 6 games left so I’d pick the strongest side in every game now until top 4 is a sure thing then maybe rest a couple against Everton provided 3rd is secured. That means Toby, Jan and Rose start tomorrow.

Like Huddersfield it’s vital we score in the first half hour or so as they will have to come out of their shell otherwise they will park the bus and play for a point.

I’d go pretty much the same, but with Wanyama in the middle instead of Llorente up top. Shame about Winks, perfect game for his progressive intricacy.

Where's the fudging badgers?

I'm guessing Lloris will be ok for this one. Bring Trippier back, Rose too. Start Wanyama. Give Dier another 60 mins. With Dier and Wanyama starting, Rose and Trippier can push up really high and attack.

-----------------lloris
trippier-----toby-----vert----rose
-----------dier-----wanyama
---eriksen------dele--------moura
----------------son

subs: gazza, davies, foyth, sanchez, kwp, skipp, llorente.

Lloris (Gazza)
Kwp Sanchez Foyth Davies
Dier Skipp
Lamela (Eriksen) Alli Moura
Llorente

Brighton are so bad and we should dispatch them accordingly. Rest some first team players ahead of West Ham and more importantly Ajax.

Much needed breaks for Verts, Toby, Rose, Wanyama, Sissoko, Eriksen and Son.

I'd go with points in hand, this game is almost more important than West Ham from that perspective

Son & Lucas up front, should be enough to tear them apart, save Llorente for West Ham where we may need his height and physicality a little more.

Again with the 6 games, have some faith! :D

The only one I'd rest is Vertonghen given he played against Huddersfield, Palace and both Emirates Marketing Project games, and will play every game left this season (unless we gaurantee top 4 early). I'd also look to take Eriksen off if we get a couple goals up on Tues for the same reason.

Therefore I'd go with

--------------------------Lloris---------------------------

---Trippier---Alderweireld---Sanchez---Rose

----------Wanyama----Sissoko/Winks/Skipp

--------Moura--------Dele--------Eriksen

--------------------------Son------------------------------

subs: Gazza, Davies, Foyth, Dier, Llorente plus any of KWP/Winks/Skipp/Lamela/Janssen depending on injuries

I like that team. We have to treat every opponent with respect regardless of where they are in the league. Brighton are fighting for their lives too. If we play our game and turn up then we should win comfortably tbh.

Any news on Winks or Sissoko?

Son isn’t playing against Ajax so I’d start him against Brighton and WHAM

Start our strongest team v Brighton and hope we do enough to make early changes, same v West Ham.
Hopefully those with slight injuries will become available by the time the Ajax game comes around.

WTF is this brick? No badgers, no custard, no Tom Jones, no Goldblum, no crashing sea gulls. What an abomination of an attempted OMT! 0-5, Son with all 5 own goals!
