Yeah, getting towards form. Still a bit lacking in some key moments from his best, but very encouraging for the rest of the season.

Can only hope he stays.
 
His fitness must be insane, we needed the full 90 from him again yesterday.

Very involved, assist, quite a few chances created, hit the post, all felt just a little bit off, but close.

I'd be happy if we managed to keep him on.

Meanwhile, in another thread, people have been complaining about Kane putting in a tackle.

The mileage Eriksen racks up suggests he is good at blocking passing lanes and impeding the ball carrier's progress; other players can then do the actual dispossession bit.

Eriksen is intelligent, paces himself and does not (are you listening, Harry?) make any 50/50s and few hard tackles. He's a lover, not a fighter.

Agreed that Kane could learn a thing or two from Eriksen about when to tackle and get stuck in. They play different roles of course, but Kane would benefit from being a little less gung ho - like the unneccesary tackle that got him injured.

Yet this forum is often awash with venom towards Eriksen whenever he's (perceived to be) a pussy in the tackle.

Hopefully, Eriksen will be a little more like Kane and Kane a little more like Eriksen.

Then we can moan about something else. :D

I don't see the relevance of the term keyboard warrior here whatsoever. It's also quite likely that it's not the same people who are criticizing both Kane and Eriksen for their approach in tackling.

That's my view on the match too. His passing was not great yesterday but something has changed IMO. In the last month he has come out of his safe zone and looks fully commited to Spurs again, to my eyes anyway. I hope that means contract negotiations are going well.

Well he'll have a chance to make up for it against Ajax, he was non existent for most of today, and in the last five minutes I saw him just walking around the pitch not marking a single city player. I'm not sure if he's just tired and starting to feel burnt out or just been figured out, but he needs to pull his socks up. Hoping that him being one of the ex Ajax 4 Will be beneficial for us in the semis though
 
I'm not ashamed to say that moment was the angriest I can ever remember being at a player in my life. To top off what was a crap performance anyway.

Hope he turns it around and puts in some great performances for the rest of the season (and then signs a new contract). We have 7 (hopefully 8!) games left this season and I hope he steps up and provides some key winning moments, especially in the big CL games.

With exception of son and maybe one or two others it was very patchy.
But we need to remember this is one of the best sides in the world we were playing, they can take a small mistake and amplify it.
Not only was he playing against a class opposition midfield, but his own midfield was a ragtag pieced together with players out of position and walking wounded.

Quite, Dele was equally as bad - some of the flicks on the edge our own box...

But they all dug in a put a foot in.
