Troy Parrott

Hope the boy is allowed to develop without too much hype, if he works hard, takes onboard all the advise he gets from the coaching staff and avoid all the arseholes who hang around young players he might make it. I hope he does.

He's very Kane-like in the way he plays - comes short to link play up, can run on to the ball, pass the ball and finish

I've not been as excited about an Irish youth team forward that I've never seen play since the halcyon days of Terry Dixon

Lets hope Parrott stays away from walking home from the pub on the roofs of cars

Who was the Welsh youth striker we had around the same time.

Christ I hope for the boys sake he manages to avoid the terrible "career" Dixon had.

Gerard McMahon, early 90’s, Northern Irish lad billed as a cross between Gazza and Lineker. Needless to say he didn’t quite get to that level!

I remember being excited about this lad. He scored a cracker for Northern Ireland once where he took a cross on his chest, knee'd it up and then scored an overhead kick! Credit to anyone that can find it, I tried a few times over the years.
