The Official 2018/19 Premier League Thread

If this had been 11 vs 11 Arsenal would be getting battered

Gives a lot of hope that they should drop some points at Leicester, Wolves or Burnley

Can but hope... although all those teams will probably have nothing but pride to play for during the run-in and so their players are likely to be thinking about their summer holidays by the time the Goons pay them a visit.

Could say the same about Brighton, Everton, Bournemouth and West Ham (perhaps)

Whatever happens tonight it's still in our hands and we have +4 GD. And we will take 3 points from Blood Soaked Oil FC.

that game is still a free hit - its the other games which will determine where we finish, not whether we get a point or 3 on Saturday

Sure, a free hit where I'm confident we'll get three points. The two are not mutually exclusive!

I did a post in the "fight for 4th" thread listing ours and our rival's games up to the last two of the season. Had goons winning 1 from the Everton, Watford, Wolves and Leicester games. With 1 loss (already got that at Everton) and 2 draws. So them winning tonight still sort of keeps that on track, because they won't get this lucky again this season imo, this win is down to a complete gift from Foster and a needless (if a little harsh) red card. If they play like this at Wolves and Leicester, they will be lucky (I know) to get 2 points.

At least they've been in a game tonight. They now have Napoli on Thurs, which should hopefully mean Palace next Sunday isn't a complete gimme even if they are at home. And then they go to Wolves next Wed
