The glorious march to CL qualification

That's all fair enough, I was only really saying that I don't think Liverpool are in the market for the same players as the truly big fish, even though they are a prestigious club with a history comparable to any of them. And the only reason for that is money imo.

Their not as their owners don’t have the cash to plough into the club

So finally the web page back working normally but only tickets i could see on the exchange were £264 which is an odd number and far more then i am ever going to pay for a football match.

I think that £264 is the maximum price currently on sale, as when I clicked add 1 seat to my basket the price of a ticket was £62.50

Or you can just click on the ‘Choose My Own Seats’ tab and there’s hundreds of red circled seats (which I believe means they’re from Exchange as opposed to usual blue circles) dotted all around the stadium to choose from.

Chelski loss is good for us. Means top four is still in our own hands even if we lose to City. Four wins should guarantee fourth place, unless Manure go on a very unlikely goalscoring run, with our GD currently 11 goals better than them.

Arse will also probably need six wins from six to beat us for third in that scenario, although we're not that far ahead in GD.

Realistically 3 wins and 1 draw from our final 5 is likely to be enough, and probably also 2W, 2D and 1L. Maybe even 7 points from our final 5 would also be enough given our GD.

Would be very handy if Watford take a point or 3 from Arsenal tomorrow night...

IF Watford put up any kind of fight, their style is exactly what Arsenal struggle with, but I bet Watford will just roll over.

Important that Chelsea did as expected and lost.

I was expecting defeat in this game today, I was just phucked off by it because we really could have won the game and certainly should not have lost it, but for some idiotic play at the end and bad finishing throughout.

HOWEVER

our next 5 league games:

palace (h)
huddersfield (h)
Emirates Marketing Project (a)
brighton (h)
west ham (h)

I think we saw enough positives in today's performance, coupled with our home results so far this season, to suggest we can get 4 out of 5 wins there. 12 points. That puts us on 73 points with 2 games to go.

Let's say the goons win tomorrow. After that, their next 5 games are:

everton (a)
watford (a)
palace (h)
wolves (a)
leicester (a)

Arsenal are terrible away from home. Win tomorrow puts them 2 ahead of us on 63 points. But from these 5 games, I'm gonna be generous and say they will win 1 of the away games, beat palace, 2 draws and 1 defeat. 8 additional points gives them 71 points with 2 games to go.

Utd, level on points with us currently. Next 5:

wolves (a)
west ham (h)
everton (a)
city (h)
chelsea (h)

I think they will beat w.ham and chelsea, draw with City and get 4 points from the 2 away games. And I think that's quite generous to be honest, they have been very lucky recently and could easily lose both those away games. But, being generous, I put them on 72 points with 2 games to go.

Chelsea -- 1 point behind us currently. Next 5:

brighton (h)
west ham (h)
liverpool (a)
burnley (h)
utd (a)

I give them 3 home wins and 2 away defeats, which would put them on 69 points. Maybe they could get a point at Utd, I don't see them getting anything at Anfield.

So, imo, it will look something like this, with 2 games to go:

Spurs 73 points, Utd 72 points, goons 71 points, Chelsea 69 points.

And then we go away to Bournemouth and finish at home to Everton. IMO, a win v Everton will end up being enough for top 4.

TL;DR -- win our home games and we will finish in the top 4.

I posted that after we lost at Anfield. We are nicely on course, the City game (league game) doesn't really matter for us, so long as we win our remaining home games.

Have maintained that 76 points seems to be a realistic target to qualify for top 4.

If we win all of our home games that is what we finish on. This may be upset if Chelsea get a draw or win at OT, or Arsenal win 3/4 away games.

Let's see.
