Lucas Moura

Don't rate this guy. Way too inconsistent and thats why has never made it at the highest level. Rarely has any end product. Will give him one more season to prove me wrong.

He doesn't get a run of games which is difficult. But he was one of our best players first half. And when he went off we looked worse - less threat to run into the space as southampton pushed forward. It was a strange sub to take him off. We should have been looking to sit deep and counter at the time.

He hasn't always delivered I would agree. But you can see his quality. A bit like Son in his first few seasons with us - he wasn't delivering every game, but you could see his technical ability. Moura isn't that fast though. He's snappy over 5-10 yards but then Son and others have more speed. Moura can finish. Can dribble. Can play on the last man, can also provide.

Agree with this

People say he is inconsistent
The guy has had less than 200 league minutes this year
Llorente has had more

Agree with both the above, he started off really well but faded as the game went into the second half ( lack of constant game time?), a couple of times he run into good space but Kane either did not see him or was too greedy.

This, i was especially annoyed at how many times he was in space in a great position having made a good run and the likes of Alli instead continued to hog the ball for too long or keep looking for Kane (and yes, Kane was also too greedy as well..fine if he scored a hattrick..but...grrr)

More or less just posted this in The Kane thread, Kane is a top player but there are times when he does not use the players who have made their own space enough. This happened to Moura yesterday and IF the ball had been passed to Moura we may be applauding him ( Moura that is) instead of some who are having a go at him. Of course that is just my opinion.

So happy for him, and happy to have him in form! Does seem like he might be most effective running behind and scoring goals, rather than playing between the lines or hugging the touch line.

Could be interesting seeing him and Son play off Llorente together, with Eriksen and/or Alli pulling strings deeper.

Llorente shouldn’t start if we have Alli

He just Downey play quick enough for a top side

What a time for Moura to come back in to form.

As well as the finishes, he showed some great touches; one situation where he flicked it across to Llorente who could've put Davies in for a near nailed on goal, would have been a decent goal.

Seems like such genuinely nice bloke, lovely moments with his son at the end (especially the shouts for handball). Surely he needs his own song, unless I'm mistaken there was a bit of "just can't get enough" but I'd hope we can muster something a little bit better than that.
