Harry Kane MBE

I hope I am wrong, but I fear that Kane's ankle problems could end up being a career ender a lot sooner than we would all like.
He is a big bloke, putting a lot of force through those ankles, with a habit of making heavy tackles (something a lot of forwards seem to avoid),. When you over stretch that ligament over the ankle it's both very painful and hard to strengthen again.

By the way given the right impact it can make an almighty cracking sound, like it's broken, which can be quite unnerving if it is your own ankle.

It is possible but I think and hope he will change his game if that happens. He has the capability.

In my opinion, he is pretty much a complete forward currently. Could maybe be a bit quicker but he isn't exactly slow either.

If his mobility is reduced or whatever, I think he has it in him to do what Shearer did and change his game completely and focus mostly on getting up there, holding up the ball/ scoring goals. I genuinely think he could also do a Sheringham and sit back and support the main striker too.

I hope so, as he still has a long playing career ahead of him. Some players just seem to be particularly unlucky with injuries - Carroll and Sturridge, for example.

This is based on very little other than the fact it’s a recurring injury but are we putting him back in to the team too soon. He’s always in at the first opportunity. Maybe having 4-5 months off might be good for him as brick as it is for us.

The other option is that he has a weakness there which may well mean this is an injury he gets several more times.

I don't think we are either bringing him back too soon or that he has a weakness their.

If anyone has their foot in a turned position and then someone (ie jones or delph) proceeds to stamp down exceedingly hard on it, then your ankle will get fudged.

You can rest for 5 years and strengthen it every day but again it will still get fudged in that scenario.

Against millwall he smashed the ball and then unfortunately had his foot in a turned position as he landed and all his weight came down on it. Just one of those things.

Against sunderland I cant remember what happened and maybe there was also one other occasion?

Admittedly though it is freakish how often he does this same injury but looking at the facts it does appear that it is wholly coincidental.

Always felt he should be that sort of striker actually.

I think we should write of the season for him for his own good, rest and rehab the right way. We have the power to get top 4, shown that. Let the lad rest and then we can worry about next season

Just make sure he stays the fudge away from England this summer.

He won’t. Not of his own accord anyway. England Captain. Possibility of lifting the inaugural Nations League trophy. He will do everything he can to be there. I don’t think Poch would discourage it either.

Poch should. We all know what happens if he goes - either he starts the season knackered after playing every single minute of that meaningless tournament or he injures himself again and is out until mid September. (probably just in time for another meaningless international)

Don't do it to yourself. Poch doesn't because he knows it's part of what makes Kane what he is.

You cannot send the rain back up.

It's only 2 games isn't it or are the semi finals 2 legs?

its two games - he would have been playing England friendlies if we didn't "qualify" it will be more competitive but wont effect the pre season.

Two games too much. It will disrupt his preparations for the next season, IMO.

He'll be looking to be in form for England in June, instead of taking his time to properly rehabilitate and rest before pre season with Spurs.

But it would make him better. Stronger. Faster.

(And would actually cost $38 million in current dollars, according to Wikipedia)

Roughly what Sissoko cost...
