Would you fly on a Boeing 737 Max?

.....while the Indonesian first officer, 41, said “Allahu Akbar”, the Arabic expression meaning “GHod is greatest”.......
I'm amazed at how little attention this part of the article has received.

If a FO can't logic his way around the existence of a self-absorbed, insecure, gays/Jews/women/bacon hating magic wish fairy in the sky, how the fudge is he going to logic through the operation of an airliner?

Interesting.
Watch this space!!

As I said, watch this space.
Boeing / FAA are going to have their butts spanked. BIG TIME.
Orders already made for the MAX model are going to be cancelled.
And new orders will dry up.
All this for trying to match Airbus.
With an unsafe plane. where "critical" safety features are an OPTION.
CRIMINAL. Let their goose be cooked.

1 there was plenty of time, the flight radars of both have been published. MCAS works in 5 second cycles - any one (or two for the more cognitively challenged out there) of those cycles is long enough to turn it off.
Just to expand on this, the Lion Air flight radar shows over 20 separate trim down events. Spaced at a minimum of 5 seconds apart (that's how often MCAS is allowed to operate) that's somewhere between 1.5 and 2 minutes for two (supposedly trained and capable) pilots to work out that what was happening to them was the same thing that happened on the same aircraft to the previous crew just a few hours previously.

Autopilot has massively improved safety but also created a generation of pilots who can't cope without it.

An accident where the crew were not behind the plane is a rare thing indeed.

Garbage Airways.

One reported fact not mentioned in the article is that the deadhead pilot in the Lion Air flavour of garbage airways flew for another airline. He was able to quickly and correctly spot the fix for the problem, yet the two Garbage Airways pilots couldn't. Neither could the two in the following flight that crashed.

Ethiopian Airlines has history of rapid pilot progression (I won't accuse them of undertraining as that could lead to legal issues).

You kinda just did?!!!! :D

The following was published by Boeing on Nov 6th 2018. Looks to me like something any half-decent airline with safety in mind would ensure their crews were familiar with.

Now. Far be it from me to tell the Ethiopian government how to do their jobs, but if I were in their place (in control of both the airline and the investigation) and I had signed copies of training sheets showing receipt and understanding of the above for the crew that crashed, it would have leaked to the press by now. But that's just me.

Hello,
2 Garbage Airlines with deadhead pilots crashed in similar situations and with the same model of new planes.
That was the reason advanced by some experts on this Board.

Now scores of airlines, with hundreds of planes have grounded their fleets.
There is no time-frame for the resumption of these grounded planes.
( This is because the manufacturer is working overtime to "fix" things which should have been done before the planes were sold. They also don't know how long it will take )
These are not so garbage, pretty good and very good airlines. They also have red hot pilots.
The airlines are from all over the world, including USA, Canada, Europe etc.

Boeing have admitted that some things were not right in their rushed out rollout of the MAX model.

Just go to friendly Google and you will find dozens of articles confirming this fact.

Therefore, it was a Garbage plane with half finished software that was the cause of the crashes.
So SAD that profits come before human lives.

I'm amazed Boeings stock has held up so well. Longer term they will be okay. Partly as Airbus can't suddenly increase their capacity. Their orders are fully loaded for 2 years. But if I was trading stocks I'd short Boeing. No Max planes rolling off the production line will be sold or cash recieved short term, they also face lawsuits, and most imp[ortantly, with the battery issues a few years ago also grounding their planes, they face serious reputational damage.
