CL Quarter Final Draw

I am still excited for the competition and think we can give anyone a game.

But have to agree. Our first night at Home in our new stadium and we get Emirates Marketing Project, when there was some nice ties out there. It just puts a damp squid
on the whole thing.

Just makes it all that much sweeter if we fudge them over. We can do it if those 17k in that wall do their part! fudging get in, I say. We're best when the pressure is off.

I don't want a ridiculous error from Lloris or Rose or Trippier or Foyth or whoever in the first 10 minutes which then makes the entire tie even more of an uphill battle.
Ha ha that is mental! You are a crazy guy, you know we will hand it to them. It's just a matter of when.

Remember Crouch getting sent off at the start of the Real Madrid game?
Remember Alli getting sent off against Genk or Ghent or whoever it was?
Remember the other 100 goals we gave away with a soft pass or weak defending?

Talk about "shoot ourselves in the foot"... we do it every time.

I would LOVE to play Spurs if I wasn't Spurs

The first leg is going to remind me of the Champions League 'play off' against City in 09/10. Shades of Crouch heading it in late on. Think I shat all over my living room floor that night. Such a tense game.

Yeah I snapped both my legs the week before, so I was in hospital dosed out on codeine, unable to sh.it whatsoever and unaware of one of our greatest moments in recent history.

So undignified.

Very disappointing draw but not really surprised. We always seem to get tough draw in the CL knockout stages. We have played AC Milan, Real Madrid, Juventus, Borussia Dortmund and now ManCity in the CL knockout stages.

Wanted us to avoid the English teams but at least we didn't get Liverpool or ManU who are always lucky in Europe. ManCity and us are the only teams in the quarter finals not to have won the CL before. So we can be glad that ManCity don't have the same pedigree in Europe like other teams in the quarter finals.

On our current form, we can lose to any team. But when we are on good form and play our best, we can beat any team ! Pochettino will have to pick the right team and the players need to lift their game as well. Remember we beat ManCity 4-1 at home in 2016. We are capable of repeating that if we play to our full potential.

Selling Walker to ManCity must be one of our worst decision in history. ManCity were struggling in attack then but Walker seems to have improved their attack. And Trippier has went backwards since Walker left ! The thought of seeing Walker playing against us in the CL is really annoying. This is why we should never sell any of our players to our rivals !

This will be the 4th time we face English teams in Europe. And we have a mixed record against English teams, losing to ManU in Round 2 of 1964 Cup Winners Cup, beating Wolves in 1972 UEFA Cup Final and then losing to Liverpool in 1973 UEFA Cup semi final. So, you can see why it was good we avoided ManU and Liverpool this time. Hope we can overcome ManCity to progress to the semi finals.

What a defeatist bunch. No easy games at this stage of the CL. Pool could lose to Porto. We can raise our game and be city’s equal.

My only concern is our midfield and defence. If we can keep things tight at the back it will give us a chance. But against city we’ll defend as a team, which might make us less prone to errors. Bring them on. We can do it. 3 Spurs wins. Let’s phuk up their season.

No chance mate, pool have been given a bye into the semi the outrageously lucky fudges.

I could see us doing something in the first leg (maybe a draw or narrow win) with us raising our game (incidentally to the level it should always be at, hence why we are in an unacceptable mess atm and ppl responsible should face massive sanctions) and city maybe a bit timid by the hopefully daunting atmosphere.

But they will do us in manchester by hook or crook and out we go 100% guaranteed.

I miss Ferguson calling it the Chumpuns' Wig, but I'm a bit bored by it, if I'm honest. Over-hype generally tends to undermine interest for me.

Not the best draw, but I'd rather go out by getting caned over both legs to this lot than listen to delerious Scousers or crowing utd supporters if we drew them and list in a tight 1-0.
With their record in the CL it's going to a case of fudges it up the least.

Don't listen to the hyperbole. It's not mandatory.
It's just as bad or even worse in the Premier League and the likes of F1 and most sports in fact with today media saturation.
Turn it off, don't click on it, if you can't block it out.
