I dont understand what your saying there, if your trying to be funny it has gone over my head.

Quite clearly we do not grow Bananas in this country, we import them from other parts of the country. Are you doing that thing where by you put on a deliberate thick persona and pretend to be a brexiter to try make out that people who voted for Brexit are just a bunch of thickos?

Also Marky said they had gone on strike, well why would they need to go on strike, I presume they will not strike when we leave, just deal with us the same way they do non EU citizens who come to the UK. The lines might be slightly longer at transport hubs, but if they are cutting staff or going on strike that seems more like scare mongering. I am only basing this on what a member of this site has said, one not prone to lying. That they were on strike.

I was just having a joke mate. The bendy bananas thing was reference to fake story about how the EU was controling how bendy our bananas should be.

It was of course not true but nevertheless used by Brexiteers way before the referendum.

@Danishfurniturelover when was the last time you had a bendy banana?

Yeah I thought you were. Trying to belittle an opposition point of view to yours by using humour to make out that anyone who thinks a different way to you is a thicko.

Absolutely your right to do so in a democracy(not that we are that anymore) anyway no offence and I wish you all the best for the future but the is no point in responding to me in the future and I shall not you respond to you as I shall now be ignoring your posts. Good day to you.

Dude it was a joke. Half of the content of this site is jokes. The other half custard related.

If I offended you, I'm sorry. It was not my intention, I just thought you of all people would not mind a bit of banter.

Suspect Chich is having a bad day, just stand down for a bit.

The custard thing was a good olive branch imho. Throw some air hostesses tights into the deal, and all will be gravy I’d wager.

Had a nice lunch with two of my Brighton season ticket supporting friends.

The is now and has been for 2 years a history in this country of doing anything to belittle people who have a different opinion to yours, the remain lot of being giving cheap digs for a long time in this way trying to behind "humour" I have always for years thought democracy was to important to be undermined.

Presuming your option is one aligned with the opinions which won, I’d suggest you shouldn’t give a fig about the opinions of the people who lost. You won, end of.

What did we win if it does not happen?

When Millwall lift the F.A. cup in May should they have to wait to lift it because Man U put in an appeal?

I’m not sure I’m understanding.

I thought you were talking about the brexit vote? So I meant if you’d voted out, then you’d won the aforementioned vote.

Sorry if I’ve misunderstood!

If democracy can't stand up to ridicule its not worth brick.

If democracy can't stand up to ridicule its not worth brick.

It is not about ridicule it is about the constant undermining of people with certain views just because one side does not like the other view. When this keeps happening the other side become so entrenched in their view that the stop listening to reason. In America you had it that whenever a Republican was voted in they were made out to be the devil by the liberal media, so much so that the Republican supporters no longer listened to criticism and voted in a genuine nutter in the end.

In this country people in the late 90's early noughties called anyone who dare question mass immigration a racist. Now anyone who thinks it is right to leave a trading block for a different future is called stupid or again with the racist thing. It might be done with humour but again all it will do is push more and more here to a proper right wing alternative. Then you people will really have something to worry about.

You saw after the last election the right disappeared with UKIP all but gone and the tories not doing very well. The future if people keep going down this path is going to be very dark.

Bullied by customs thugs under the pretence of Brexit: Student, 19, travelling alone on Eurostar reveals she was reduced to tears by French officials deliberately holding up journeys
  • Camille Hulot, 19, was 'intimidated and humiliated' at Gare du Nord in Paris
  • The King's College London student was berated by three men in front of a crowd
  • Ms Hulot burst into tears as she was told to wait longer for being 'impolite'
  • Ms Hulot claims they are causing delays, 'dishonestly using Brexit as an excuse'

Eurostar has called for an investigation after bullying French officials 'intimidated and humiliated' a teenage London University student caught up in industrial action centred on Brexit.

Camille Hulot, 19, was reduced to floods of tears by three uniformed customs men at the Gare du Nord in Paris as she travelled back to her classes in England by high-speed train on Monday.

She was forced to wait in line for three-and-a-half hours, and then told she might have to queue again as 'punishment for being impolite'.

As the men surrounded her, yelling questions and telling her off, Ms Hulot was then told to empty her luggage, including all personal possessions, in front of a shocked crowd.

'I was intimidated and humiliated,' said the King's College student, who was travelling alone and 'felt certain that the men were trying to provoke me.'

'All they wanted to do was hold people up so that their journeys were disrupted, while dishonestly using Brexit as an excuse. It is an absolute scandal,' she added.

Like thousands of others who have suffered similar indignities, Ms Hulot said the increasingly militant customs men were guilty of an 'abuse of power'.

Their industrial action has entered its second week, as they use Brexit to push for better pay and conditions, blocking passengers so as to cause cancellations and delays of up to four hours.

The scandal led to a spokeswoman for Eurostar saying:'We are very sorry to hear of Camille's experience.

I think she’s French.

Also, can’t imagine why any man would want to hold her up....

I have seen you take the tinkle out of things people have strong feelings about, pc stuff and the like. Things that are equally decisive and people have strong feelings about, with similar potential outcomes.

This is fair enough but it's a bit ritch to then get upset when people do it to something you care about.

You can take the tinkle out of many things I care about, the sports I like the movies I like. But what you and others are doing is trying to subvert democracy and you may think it is clever just like people thought it was when Obama was president. But you people keep going you will end up with a Trump in this country. I care about this country and dont want to see us lurch that far to the right, but it is a real possibility.

In the course of my time on this website I have had a couple of bans, not for years. But if I say anything you find offensive then I suggest you report it to a moderator, they will play fair and if it worthy of a ban they will do so.

I did not report the posters who said that people that voted leave were to thick to know what they were doing and should not be allowed to vote, I just put them on ignore. Because and I know it is an over used thing to say but seems appropriate in this case, they are fascists and I dont need to read what fascists say.

The left often like to say, I might not agree with you but I defend to the death your right to say what you think. Well I think brexit has shown that those liberals never really believed that and are only happy when they are getting their own way. I wont bother saying anymore on the subject glad mark had a good time in Paris but i wont even go back to that city for the Tour De France anymore.

Slightly ironic you are using "I might not agree with you but I defend to the death your right to say what you think" while throwing a hissy about someone saying something that you don't like.(it's not a lefty saying)

It's not the message I have an issue with just taken a back that you were so precious about it when you often overstep the mark. If you are going to get offended it's best not to be offensive otherwise it rings false.

Nope I was not using the expression. I was saying that is what I always here you lot say, except when it is something you don't like.

We had the referendum but some will never accept the result. I am not throwing a hissy I just to block people who continue to try and undermine the democracy of the country.

Again if you think I am offensive towards others go and report those posts. Do it, stand behind your words and do it.

I saw several posters on her say in the politics thread sometime back how people who voted leave were to stupid and should not be allowed the vote some liking us to retarded people. I choose not to report them just put them on ignore.

In a year's time when project fear has one the second referendum the liberals will go back to that old saying "I might not agree with what you say but I defend to the death your right to say it"

Because these people pretend to be understanding of others points of views but only when it suits them.

The saddest thing is how this will strengthen the far right in this country. As someone who has said time and again I will be voting Corbyn I dont want to see that.

Despite your goading about hissy fits I won't rise to your bait and give you what you want, a reaction. Because like the remoaners who refuse to accept a result it seems you are not able to debate normally.

If I dont reply to you again don't take it personally, your on ignore and I cant see your posts. Have a good night.
