Dele Alli is back in the frame as we prepare to take on Southampton on Saturday.

The England international midfielder has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since the 2-1 win at Fulham on 20 January but returned to training with the squad earlier this week in a big boost ahead of our trip to St Mary’s in the Premier League.

Central midfielder Harry Winks is being assessed over a groin problem ahead of the weekend. He was forced off in the early stages of the second half in the midweek Champions League victory at Borussia Dortmund.

Right-back Kieran Trippier missed the trip to Germany – he is undergoing treatment for a gluteal muscle strain and is unavailable for the clash with the Saints.

Kick-off on Saturday is at 3pm.

Lloris
Aurier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose
Sissoko, Winks
Son, Dele, Eriksen
Kane

Gazzaniga, Sanchez, Davies, Dier, Lamela, Lucas, Llorente

Personally I wouldnt risk Winks or Dele on Saturday - we need them for the rest of the season and the team below should be good enough:

-----------------------Lloris-----------------------------

---Aurier---Alderweireld--Vertonghen---Rose----

------------------Dier------Sissoko--------------------

------Son-------------Eriksen------------Moura-----

-------------------------Kane-------------------------

subs: Gazza, Sanchez, Davies, Wanyama, Skipp, Lamela, Llorente

Agree that Winks needs a rest, a lot of responsibility on his shoulders this season, he's done great but has faded a little recently.

Play Alli Saturday then show the FA the quid-pro-quo finger over their sodding call-up. No Poch in the dugout, no Dele in the England squad.

I'll be fudging furious if Dele features and then gets called up by England

Pochettino made no secret of his wish for the player to receive a break.

“It [would be] fantastic to have the chance to, but I don’t know what decision the English national team or manager is going to take,” he said. “But we are going to assess [on Friday] and then I think we can talk.”

I'd lump in Llorente from the off and bring in Moura in the second half to run at them after we have taken the lead.

Not a bad shout. Let Llorente mix it with their centre halves while Kane plays more floating like a butterfly and stinging like the proverbial.

I know we say "must win" a lot. But I really think this is a must win.

Beat Southampton and win our 5 remaining home games (Palace, Huddersfield, Brighton, West Ham, Everton) and we will get Champions League, even if we lose at Anfield, City and Bournemouth.

Season over. The new stadium will collapse after we lose 6-0 to these south coast troglodytes. You've doomed us all.

Hope we go with a back 3 again to combat some of Soton's fast attacking players and generally iron out the kinks (i think we'll be needing to play 3 at the back with confidence in later games this season)..

I'd go with same team as Dortmund but instead play Moura in place of Son, Dier in place of Winks and Rose in place of Davies

3-1 win, Harry with two and one for Moura. Please
