West Ham midfielder Robert Snodgrass charged by Football Association

West Ham midfielder Robert Snodgrass has been charged with allegedly abusing anti-doping officials, the Football Association has said.

The alleged incident took place at the Hammers' training ground on 6 February.

The 31-year-old Scotland international, who faces a one-match ban and an £8,000 fine, has until 18 March to respond to the charge.

BBC Sport understands Snodgrass was not scheduled to be tested, nor did he refuse to take a test.

"Robert Snodgrass has been charged with a breach of FA Rule E3(1)," the FA said in a statement on Monday.

"It is alleged the player used abusive and/or insulting words towards UK anti-doping officials who were visiting West Ham United's training ground on 6 February 2019 to conduct out-of-competition testing."

Snodgrass has played 32 times for West Ham this season, scoring four goals in all competitions.

Classy

To be fair, Scots use swear words as everyday adjectives, nouns, verbs...

Although I did see Snodgrass was in the top few Prem players for distance covered this season. That makes no sense for a tubby Scot, so I immediately assumed he was doing a Spud/Renton/Begbie impression

If you really want to see racism visit Glasgow as an Londoner, Celtic supporters hated me because I said I preferred Rangers and Rangers Fans hated me because I was a catholic, both blamed me for English oppression despite a Scots king bringing together both nations.

Why do think I avoid the odious cretins and follow the mighty Tottenham.

From The Guardian:

GROUNDS FOR CONCERN

"The Fiver doesn’t understand all the fuss about Tottenham’s new megabowl. Yes, one of the stands at the stadium that must not be referred to as White Hart Lane 2 is the most spectacular thing to be seen in north London since Tactics Tim’s gilet. But haven’t the architects mistakenly left out a few crucial features? For starters, how come the people in the front rows are so close to the pitch? Isn’t their view of the game a bit too good? Where’s the running track? Why aren’t there huge gaps between the tiers? Why can’t you see all the scaffolding? How come the stewards know what they’re doing? Why weren’t there away fans in the home end? Why was there an atmosphere? So many questions; enough to leave you feeling that they’ve gone and made a right mess of building a shiny new stadium. And to think they only had to look a few miles east to see how it should be done. Oh Tottenham!"

Looking forward to their traditional rendition of this on the way to/from our new gaff

West Ham United have released a statement to strongly condemn a video appearing to show a group of the club's supporters engaging in anti-Semitic chanting in Manchester.

The video, which seems to show fans chanting abuse about London rivals Tottenham on public transport, circulated on social media on Saturday evening

fudge statements. West Ham and Chelsea make statements about these clams all the time and nothing happens.

Let's see how many lifetime bans come from this. My guess is none.

What have you repeatedly said regarding Salah?
Glasshouse and stones sprang to mind here
But regarding the post you are spot on!

I've never used a racist term against the pigfudger in my life, and never will.

I will loudly and happily insult his stupidity in deciding to join a violent, misogynistic, anti-Semitic, stone age cult, that believes in marrying pre-pubescent children and a magic wish fairy sitting on a cloud smiting Jews and bacon on request.
