Work Work Work Work Work

I've seen wolf of Wall Street

I would kill everyone in the world including my family and then crawl on my hands and knees across broken glass just to kiss Margot Robbies feet.

Was watching About Time with the wife the other night on netflix(she loves the movie) did not know she was in it. Seriously want to smash my dingdong inside her, I would cum so hard she would sneeze it out.

So I have just been pulled in the other room at work for having two pints at lunch.

I had two pints, bit deal.
I would say 1 is enough, 2 is too much; you're not p1ssed, but it affects your performance a bit in terms of how you act, what you say, what you type.

Also implies you are having long lunches. Most people at my work either skip lunch or grab something whilst running between meetings or quickly go to the shop and back.

Also, that is a tenner on lager at lunch, that is a lot

Most people spend £2 to £5ish on food

I sometimes splash out and spend £10 on food and drink

Maybe I'm just a tight arse

£2!!! Where do you work?

London.
Some people bring in leftovers from home.
Some people go to Morrisons and buy cheap deals that last all week e.g. a loaf of bread plus soup etc.

Not me.
I spend 2.60 on coffee every day in the coffee shop across the road as the girls working there are works of art. Coffee is good too. I don't like forking out for lunch though as it just seems excessive and never as nice as the food I have at home anyway, which I bring in.

Really?

Not sure I have ever worked in such a place. People I work with go and sit in the box park for an hour, go shopping, go for walks, most if not all take their full hour.

And so they should, its your entitlement, those that don't I would say are eejits

I pulled my company up BTW and said it was unjust being pulled to one side and they backed down and agreed.

My manager, many jobs ago, made a point of everything being about perception.

A lesson I learned the hard way through him.

Take the scenario.
I work hard and efficiently, get an absolute tonne done, but have a casual attitude and am generally a very happy go lucky chap.

The girl next to me, utter sourpuss, is as slow as a wet weekend. She dithers and dallies and does everything the long way. As a result she ends up coming in early and staying late. Literally because she just isnt very good.

I get twice as much done as her in a day, turn up and go home on time.

She was the star pupil, bonuses, promotions, employee of the month type stuff.

I was permanently "You're doing well but..." "I need more from you" "Im worried about your attitude"

All because of perception.

I believe he was fundamentally wrong, and should have had the insight to see the amount of work I got through and the quality of it. Especially by comparison to her.

However, ultimately that didnt matter - he was the boss and impressions was all he was worried about.

I moved on from there and worked with a guy who was an absolute legend and saw things how they were. I love him to bits to this day and have had two jobs since! He told me the old boss actually warned him about me and my attitude when he offered me the job, can you believe it?

I can see where that comes from.

The thing is my office leans on me for all the reasons it probably highlights for hating. I have the biggest network of people, clients, associates in the office by a country mile and I churn through more work than anyone, not to be big headed, its just fact. If people want freebies at hotels or cheap flights or anything they come to me in the office, yet I sometimes get slaughtered for the reasons I have them relationships and lets be clear I dont take the tinkle.

Sounds like that perception game to me.

Let them see you in the pub with a coffee or OJ a few times and see how things change...

Not that Im saying you should - but I bet if you do then it would!
