Cheatski are still scum

Until today I hadn't heard Sarri talk before. It's very disconcerting - he sounds nothing like I expect him to. There's nowher near as much hoarsness to his voice as I'd expect.

Also he seems very nervous. Is this just because he is lying to the camera or is he just a bit socially awkward?

Nicotine withdrawal.

They paid over £70M for that tit, and he’s nothing special.

He’s made enemies of the Chelsea fans. It’s similar to Hossam Ghaly when BMJ subbed him and he threw the shirt to the floor.

The damage is done and there is no way back.

Dont confuse how fans react to players behaviour at Spurs with fans at other clubs, there is little concern for how players behave at many "top" clubs Chelsea werent concerned when Lampard and mates mocked American tourist after 9/11 or Terry knocking down a fan in his car, Liverpool fans accept anything and were happy to support the actions of Suarez. I don't get why Sarri didn't go through with it. Fill out the form, have the 4th official raise the board and then let the ref deal with it if he refuses to come off. Too much money has been invested to make an example of the keeper, so Sarri is now in a rather difficult position or maybe he's already in the 'waiting to get sacked and receive millions'-phase.

I actually think he'll drop Kepa for our match; he might see it as a f-it win:win situation:

If they lose and it's because Caballero c0cks up, then he'll happily take the sacking and payoff; if they win then he has re-installed his authority

If the player refuses to come off, play continues, according to the laws of the game. So there is not much the ref could do about it.

In which case where is the line drawn between refusing and walking really slowly so as to waste time? One is not an offence and the other is a yellow.

I think Sarri realised the situation was fudged by Kepa at that point, or Zola let Sarri know that throwing Caballero after would be a bad call.

If Caballero comes on feeling unsettled and messes up, then chances are it will fall on Sarri even though it's from Kepa's petulance. It also means admitting that Kepa has refused instruction - at least this way he can maintain he just didn't realise he was injured or whatever.

Or he just lost all interest after being humiliated before millions. I did wonder if as he storms back to the bench Zola is left to decide what should happen.

Chelsea have not improved from last season.
With thier resources thier fans must be flabbergasted on how poor the team are.

But how much is the poor team due to players who are not good enough?

When they care they do seem good enough to challenge, but when they don't care they seem content to put in subpar performances and lose. It seems a persistent problem as they went from PL champions to way off the pace when Leicester won (but players like Hazard did raise their game in the second half of game 36), to champions again and their current state. It's easy to blame the players (Willian gets an exemption) but you have to wonder about the culture of the club.

They are undergoing a big change. They are no longer an elite outfit with unlimited funds. This will take time to work through. Still got Hazard till the summer at least. The old Chelsea is history imo
