Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

Venue is important but the date is more important IMO. People would always be travelling to spurs arsenal on that day so that hasn't changed. Moving the date of a game takes more time and planning I reckon.
There is an agreement that changing a game date due to TV be notified 6 weeks prior to the game date. This is not "official" but they try to keep to it.

The Premier League have always said they aim to give supporters six weeks’ notice ahead of any fixture changes while the Football League commits to a shorter 28-day period. Yet both have thrown fans under the bus in recent weeks in order to satisfy the whims of broadcasters.

tbf, for those can remember, they reminded me of this...

And despite the gentlemen's headwear this was only (only ) 1971.

I remember that happening, i heard about it on the radio on the way home from playing Sheff Wed in the FA CUP. It was a tragedy waiting to happen as a lot of grounds in those days were always overcrowded for the conditions.

IIRC it was a late goal causing early leavers to pause/turn/whatever on steps. Lots of tripping/tumbling and inevitable casualties.

Some info from N17_Bishop on SSC who works at the stadium on matchdays I think:

Touch base day really with your.

All I can really say is the testing is all positive so far. 10 days in and little to no faults. 10 more days to go and then if all is as is now, test events will be announced.

Got a look at the northern end too, Home and away. Not sure if it’s been open to visitors yet.

Same standards all the way round.

Slightly diff turnstiles. I’m not going to post pics but the are very similar to airport biometric passport gates. Wether they’ll hold the average rowdy Millwall fan I don’t know.

Saw the HP SERVER room which gave me a twitch being a techy. A nice touch is it’s in complete view of the GA area (like the beaver town equipment) so you can see what’s running the ship.

Some serious money has been spent in there. Again got pics but hesitant to post just yet. Gonna ask permission first.

Away section mood lighting is there so will be customised according to visiting teams colours. A nice touch here is that idea follows through to hospitality.
They will be shipping in drink and food from local area of visiting club to sell to them.
So Saudi Sportswashing Machine the area will be black and white and the bar will serve boddintons as well as fried mars bars

ok not fried mars bar but you get the drift.

Those food and drinks prices are locked in. They are obliged to retain 15k for as long as possible to help traffic flow so after game entertainment will be decent.

Expect a lot more activities in concourses after games including legends and mascots meeting and greeting GA guests.

It will basically become one big massive bar after games (I suppose a bit like what box park is for Wembley now).

A fair few new tit bits to add later and shots from inside the bowl since we have been starved recently.

I've liked that post, BUT..........

If you try selling Boddies as a "local brew" to Geordies it's going to kick off big time!

Just saying like

Show us the tit bits!

Guess it depends on which source you care to believe (what's new?!!), as I was sent this update this morning...

Stadium update - tyco have 75 tests to get cleared - they are doing 8 a night and it started last week and so far every test every night has failed - zero passes - they are finding cables in the Ceilings with no ends ... this season i can’t see happening - is talk we may have to play some away games at beginning of next season to accommodate. It’s a mess. Not great at all.

Who sent you the update? As always with this stuff, it depends on where the info came from and what angle they want to try and push.

He's posted some pictures over on SSC today, but I can't see them on my phone.

There had already been several injuries in the years leading up to 71, and two people had been killed ten years earlier in the same area.

So you have to be calm, it's a fact that at least we will play more than 3/4 of our home games in Wembley. So any NHL game this season will be an extra.

Forwarded to me by a STH close friend, who in turn was sent it from a 'reliable' source. I trust the friend, but then, he's possibly just forwarding me info as I am here to you lot.

Not claiming to be any kinda ITK, just passing on an alternative thread of info. Make of it what you will.

Tbh, with so much palmed around all the time, it's getting almost as dull as the Brexit debate. When the club have completed test events, they'll announce something. Until then, just hope for the best whilst anticipating the worst, and we shouldn't be too disappointed, eh!?
