Son Heung-Min

Incredible stats

Before Nov 24: 7 apps (327 mins played) 1 shot on target, 0 goals

Since Nov 24: 13 apps (1028 mins) 21 shots on target, 11 goals

I posted in the Moura thread the other day that he ( Moura) is a bit like Son used to be in his earlier time here, ie he was a little hot and cold in his performances. Son now seems to have gone through that and is now a constant danger to the opposing team, i hope Moura can do the same.

This is another Pochettino signing that I am not convinced or excited about. Surely, paying 22m for an Asian player is a pure marketing stunt than an attempt to improve the team. This will get us more fans in Asia but not sure it will lift the team.

Asian players have a very poor record in English Premier League. Regardless of their rich talents, Asian players are lacking in physical or mental strength to make a huge impact in the European leagues. They have done decently when they are part of a team with big stars like Park Ji Sung at ManU but have struggled when they are big stars in teams lacking quality.

We have done the same mistake we did with Soldado and Lamela, that is paying way too much than deserved. The huge transfer fee alone will be a big burden on Son, having to prove his worth. Son will be under huge pressure to perform because :
1) He is now the most expensive Asian player in history
2) He will be the most expensive current Spurs player (if Lamela leaves)

Anyway, good luck to Son. It is a big gamble by Pochettino and Levy. But hope he will lift the team.

I watched the first half with my father and early on, I told him Son would score in the game. I love Son's determination and his never-say-die attitude, and also for making me right in my arguments with my father.

Would love to see him next season with no world cup or gonad*s international football in his legs.

Think we would be top if it were not for the world cup. I hated the world cup last summer and I hate it even more now.

Leicester won the title cos they had no derby matches and we will miss out this year because of the fudging world cup.

Yeah I hated it.

Did not like how teams played so dirty, I like proper football. England to be fair tried to do the right thing but the teams playing them were dirty. Then all my players came back to my club either injured or tired.

So yeah I hated it.
